Holiday Hub France

Have just come back from a weeks holiday at this lovely farmhouse. What can I say! The accommodation was wonderful, very traditional but with all the mod cons and equipment/facilities needed, Sky TV, which was welcome on an evening with a massive thunderstorm where we didn’t venture out, but also a great range of english books and games to read/play, the gardens, grounds, lake were fantastic to walk around especially with the dog and the rear garden is also very secure for the dog as well as sunny for relaxing in. The two pools were lovely and clean and a welcome relief on a hot day, the hot tub also looked inviting although we didn’t use it.
Leigh and Dave were fantastic hosts, friendly, helpful and as accommodating as possible, even opened the on site restaurant, despite it not usually being open until mid July. We made use of this most evenings and the food was delicious, well cooked and a varied menu and only a few steps from the front door. Leigh and Dave even invited us out to the festival of music in the village, where we met some of their friends and locals and had the most fabulous evening.
The farmhouse is rural and based outside of a quiet village, not really in walking distance so if you are looking for lots of bars, nightlife and kids clubs then this is not for you, however if you want a nice, quiet, peaceful, pet friendly, relaxing holiday off the beaten track then this is the place to be. There are however lots of beautiful places to visit within an hours drive, including a lovely lake with beach, restaurant, cafe and dog walk.
The French people were very friendly and helpful and did try to converse in English.
If we ever visit the Dordogne again, then Leigh and Daves place would be our first port of call.

We had a great stay at the glamping site this summer. It's peaceful and surrounded by private land which is ideal. The pool was warm and clean, the forest and lake were much loved by the children. The site has everything you need for a great holiday, including a camp fire among the tents and a restaurant near the owners' house. We highly recommend this gîte. Thanks to the amazing hosts for a fabulous stay!

Très belle semaine à Saint-Sault Lacoussière entre amis: la maison est immense et propose toutes les commodités, avec en plus un accès privé à la rivière pour un vrai moment de nature ! Très bon contact avec les propriétaires, organisation impeccable ! On recommande -

Nous avons passé une semaine en juillet dans les yourtes et quel bonheur 😍, isolé dans 1 bois mais à 1mn à pied de la piscine d'eau salée , une grande plaine pour que les enfants s'amusent, un coin feu de camps histoire de manger à la "trappeur", tous les sanitaires dans des structures en bois et cerise sur le gâteau des hôtes discrets mais qui répondent à toutes vos sollicitudes, merci encore pour cette merveilleuse semaine 👍
