This hidden gem was just down from our hotel and we popped in here for a few drinks on several evenings of our short soujourn in La Rochelle in June ‘24.

Not too busy, but enough ambience and spare tables to relax into and remember great days exploring La Rochelle.

We had lovely lunch there, fish of the day for me and husband, and teen kids had fish and chips. Stunning view a few mins away from the busy centre, excellent service. Highly recommended if you want a lovely, quiet lunch away from the crowds. Clean, excellent service, very nice food, very nice prices. 4 adult meals, 4 fizzy drinks, and 2 small bottles of water around 80 euro.

Dog friendly. What a great view for a lunch on a sunny late October day. Super pleasant and quick service despite being completely full and very busy. Home made steak haché and dessert of brioche pain perdu to die for.

Made to feel very welcome, food tasty, we had the pork which was lovely and tender, also hake which was beautifully cooked. A perfect place to sit for lunch
