Les Quais de Taillebourg

We came late in the afternoon only to find that service for food had ended so we returned in the evening. Luckily the sun came out and we had a wonderful evening by the river. The mussels were fabulous as was the cafe gourmand and the profiteroles. Service was also excellent. Thank you to all the staff especially for speaking to us in French so we could practice. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area

Great place by the river. Been going there every summer for 30 years kids use to swim in the river or hire pedalos now it's the grandchildren!!

The lamb chops were superb , but the salmon was acceptable, nothing special, mussels were superb ! Well worth a visit !

A lovely riverside restaurant. The samosa (cheese filled ) on an apple salad set the tone for a lovely meal. The mussels everyone else had were fresh and excellent. All of this was outdone by the mousse au chocolat. A large shared between two was amazing, but I remain glad that I selfishly had mine all to my self. A wonderful meal served by friendly and attentive staff.

My favourite lunch spot. It's in the most perfect location on the river, I feel totally at peace watching the water and eating the fantastic value menu de jour for only €16.

Le joueur de restaurant que j'adore pendant les vacances !
Légèrement ombragé et juste à côté de la Charente.
La cuisine est très bonne et le service est vraiment très agréable. Il y a du monde au fourneau mais pour livrer les plateaux aussi.
Il y a régulièrement des animations musicales . Et ce côté festivité donner une touche de plaisir je trouve à cette période estivale.
