I have very fond memories of a 3 week retreat I did there in February 1984. Very blessed place by the presence of Pawo Rinpoche way back then 🙏

Un lieu bénit (Pawo Rinpoche) pour pratiquer et faire sa retraite paisiblement. Chambres individuelles, temple, et espaces communautaires partagées (cuisines, douches, etc.). Au milieu de la nature (prévoir ses réserves de nourriture à l’avance, pour éviter de prendre la voiture jusqu’au supermarché local !). Dans une région riche en activités bouddhistes (autres centres aux alentours).

C'est un lieu comme on aimerait en connaître plus. Un lieu magnifique et dédié à l'esprit. Je ne regrette que deux choses : habiter loin et donc ne pas pouvoir y aller très souvent, que ça soit fermé en hiver et donc ne pas pouvoir y retourner avant le printemps.

About Plazac
Commune in France

Plazac is a commune in the Dordogne department in Nouvelle-Aquitaine in southwestern France. It is near the village of Les Eyzies and the city of Sarlat-la-Canéda. The bishops of Périgueux built a fortified residence in Plazac in the 12th-13th century. Its donjon was transformed into a bell tower in the 17th century. Its chapel is now the village church. One wing of the residence has been preserved. During World War II, Plazac sheltered the residents of Bootzheim who were evacuated. source
