Bare Laundrette

Very busy little place. Service washes are done in the morning. Self-service is always available when open. People are friendly. Washing machines range from £4 up to £8 and the dryers give 4 minutes for 50p and 8 minutes for £1. You can set both washing machines and dryers to the setting you want. Great when you don't have use of washing machines and dryers. Just remember you washing products as there are one available on site.

Used this laundrette several times as the ones where I live on venture caravan park are either out of order or no one around to unlock the door. Very friendly helpful staff always willing to help out very efficient prefer to use these to ones on site

I use Bare launderette on a regular basis for Airbnb properties. Service is brilliant, always willing to meet requirements and turn things around as quickly as possible. Clare and Kelly are fab and so friendly. A credit to the community and provide 5* service. They make my life a lot easier! Thank you ❤

Opens early, nice lady who is on hand with change etc.

A great laundrette that is well run, clean and tidy. Situated in Bare village, on the main shopping street, which has on-street parking immediately outside with great locally owned neighbouring shops, florists, a post office, salons, a wine bar and coffee shop to visit while you wait. Clare (the laundrette owner) is so friendly and helpful and will always try to make sure that you are getting the best value for money.
There are several different sized washers with different price points, with the largest suited to loads as big as a Queen size duvet (which they also offer a laundry service for). The tumble dryers are huge and high powered, making drying a speedy process. The machines are kept immaculately clean and are well maintained and easy to use. They are reasonably priced for what you can fit in... I know the electricity alone would cost me more to do such large loads at home. Whether you have a service wash or do self-serve, it's always a great, value for money service.
With so many laundrettes in the area having closed or only offering service washes and some even having rules that you can only use the dryers if you have used the washers first, it is such a pleasant surprise to find one that is so well run.
It can get busy which is a great recommendation in its own right and the fact they do laundry for local hotels, restaurants and salons further demonstrates the quality of service on offer. I often meet other customers who travel from Lancaster to use the Laundrette as it’s the best around.
It's open from 8 am till 8 pm every day, which by anyone’s book is convenient. There is a collection and delivery service (within a certain radius) and they can also arrange for your ironing to be done too (off-site). I recommend that you take plenty of change (£1 and 50p coins) as there is no change machine on-site and if there’s no attendant available, you’ll struggle to get change from the other local businesses who don’t like to give you change for the laundrette, also remember to take your laundry powder/liquid, fabric softener and anything else you like to add to your wash such as Vanish, laundry bleach or scented pearls.

Really convenient. Lady who owns the place works inside and is very helpful and if you require you can drop off the bags and collect later, that's great service. She has change available which is so handy and machines are good and run on gas, so washing loads are bigger and quicker. As a parent of two kids if we invested in a home tumble dryer, during winter it would be on constantly and costing a bloomin fortune. This is a cheaper, quicker and way more convenient.

Took a king size duvet that my dog was using for a bed to be washed and dried. Really friendly staff and great service.

This is such a lovely place, the owner was really helpful when I told her I’d never been to a laundrette before and she helped me through the whole thing. Definitely pay her a visit!

Drop and collect service is so handy, lady there is lovely and she does a better job than me hahahaaa five stars all day long :)
