The Shimla Palace

The staff at the Shimla are just amazing. They look after your every need. They were so lovely towards our two children, making them laugh and making the effort to talk with them. The food was just beautiful as always and we couldn't fault it at all. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very peaceful and relaxing. Music is played at a reasonable volume so you can still hear each other talking. We will absolutely continue to return to the Shimla for a special occasions. A lovely way to spend our 15 year anniversary ❤ Thank you Shimla Palace

Very lovely customer service, called up to book a table came across to the restaurant manager Moh who was really nice and friendly and directed me there. Got there was greeted through the door and was served by Yusuf who was really friendly recommended me many different dishes which was the best restaurant dishes I’ve had in a very long time. Loved it so much that I went back the next day, friendly staff, friendly people, lovely food, probably the best place to dine in, in the UK. The next day ended up having so much fun that ended up having a laugh and so much fun after closing hours and ended up having a drink with Yusuf. Have had a time of my life at this restaurant and would definitely recommend to go there without fail, whether it’s for takeaway or eat in. Thank you once again to the team and Yusuf for being brilliant.

This is the most swanky delicious curry house in the Rugeley area. Decent menu good prices and the food is something else! A very popular busy restaurant and Mo Faz and the lads make everyone welcome and feel part of the place.It us an oldy world style building but that just adds to the charm. Keep up with the good work lads see you soon 😊

Went New Year’s Eve 8.30 greated friendly staff only waiting 2minuets for our table order taken as soon as we were ready food came promptly everything was beautiful very tasty thanks

Staff at Shimla are so kind and attentive! We had a brilliant evening in there celebrating a birthday, they supplied a cake, sparklers, banners and a sing song! Would recommend

I’ve tried many curry houses in the Staffordshire area and without a doubt the Shimla is the best by a country mile. The food is fantastic, the service is even better. Brilliant welcome by all the lads there and it’s half the reason we go so regularly. Menu is varied and dishes are flavoursome. Lovely restaurant too - very different for a curry house but really good. Ice cold pint of cobra too. Love the place - prices are fine - would rather pay a bit more for a good curry than an average one.

Called in for a takeaway while on our canal boat. Lovely food and attentive service.

A wonderful Bangladeshi restaurant. The service is excellent, with staff be efficient and welcoming whilst also being knowledgeable about the extensive menu. The food is delicious and portions are large. It is in easy walking distance from bridge 70 on the Trent and Mersey canal.

An excellent place (palace) to visit at reasonable prices with very helpful staff. The Cobra glasses are very decorative.

This is the best Indian ever. Everything is so flavoursome and just delicious honestly if you live near this Indian you have to try it it will honestly change your life this is amazing.

This establishment is my default restaurant for a curry. Great specials, excellent quality, excellent service, they always manage to fit me in, value for money, always good banter with all of the staff, and a nice setting with plenty of parking, the only issue is that as it's a very old building and I am 0ver 6" I should really wear a hard hat...

We went for a lovely meal for my friends 60th birthday in May. Everyone ordered different meals and they all looked amazing. My chicken madras was delicious. All of the starters and mains were 1st class. The restaurant is cosy with a nice atmosphere. Great service and friendly staff. We have also had takeaways delivered too. Hoping to return very soon 🙂🙃

Visited with my wife and 2 teenage children. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and the service was excellent. There was always someone around to tend to our needs without being over powering.
We all enjoyed our delicious meals with one of our children even asking that their thanks be passed onto the chef for a such tasty meal.
We will definitely be back again.
