What an absolutely delightful site! We stayed for 7 days in April, it was extremely peaceful and the views from the pitch were the most breathtaking I have seen on a campsite with the rolling mountains of Snowdonia over the sea.
The site itself is lovely, immaculately kept and very clean. The facilities were ideal, with the best showers I've ever had on a site, very hot and more powerful than the one I have at home! There are 3 unisex, very modern and clean shower cubicles and sperate male and female toilets, 2 each and clean and bright.

The position is perfect for those who prefer to explore, walking or (I was reliably told by other guests) on bikes. Its a short 30 min walk to the an absolutely stunning beach which stretches for miles and miles! You can drive right to it, but there is a toll. Its helpful to drive if you grab fish and chips from the village to have supper on the beach and watch the sun going down!

A huge forest banks the beach and is stunning, a must visit, with accessible paths throughout, red squirrels and so huge you could spend days exploring just this! It's magnificent.

We also walked to the point from the site, it was a round 6 hour walk along a deserted beach for miles, and back across the Warren's. We did not see a single soul for 4 whole hours of walking, remarkable in the UK.

Overall a wonderful campsite, idealicly positioned and Angelsey has stolen our hearts, we can wait to get back! Thank you for having us!

I have had the pleasure of staying at "Awelfryn Caravan Park" in Newborough, Anglesey several times, and I can confidently say that it is a stunning campsite. Despite its small size, this place offers an amazing camping experience.

One of the standout features of this campsite is its great facilities. The showers and toilets are exceptionally clean, a detail that truly enhances the overall camping experience. It's always a relief to find well-maintained amenities while camping, and "Awelfryn Caravan Park" does not disappoint in this regard.

The location of the campsite is simply breathtaking. Situated right on the edge of Newborough forest and beach, it offers a unique opportunity to immerse oneself in the beauty of nature. Being able to easily access the forest and the beach from the campsite is a definite advantage, allowing campers to enjoy picturesque walks and relaxation by the water.

One particular feature that I absolutely loved about this campsite was the picnic tables situated up on the mound. From there, one can take in the stunning views of the hills across North Wales. It's a perfect spot to sit and appreciate the natural beauty of the surrounding landscape while enjoying a meal or a moment of tranquillity.

"Awelfryn Caravan Park" is well-run, and booking a spot is a breeze. The simplicity and basic nature of the campsite are part of its charm, allowing visitors to focus on the natural beauty and the joy of camping. It's a place where you can escape the hustle and bustle of daily life and reconnect with nature.

Having stayed at "Awelfryn Caravan Park" multiple times, I can confidently say that I will continue to return. It has become a go-to destination for me when I want to enjoy a peaceful camping experience in a beautiful location. If you're looking for a well-managed campsite with fantastic facilities and a stunning natural setting, look no further than "Awelfryn Caravan Park" in Newborough, Anglesey.

Lovely site, good facilities although lights need to stay on longer in the showers!
Was very quiet when we went so can't speak for high season. Chris and Kevin are great owners friendly and helpful.
Fabulous views of Snowdonia. Lovely walk to the beach, best to turn right from the campsite and go down the lane. Anglesey is easy to drive around and there are some amazing beaches to visit.

A beautiful little site right next to Newborough forest and beach. The facilities were clean, nice hot showers and a communal freezer and microwave. Lovely views across the straight from their seating area.

This is an excellent campsite. Reviews here giving an opposite view are clearly missing the main things this campsite offers: spacious pitches, clean facilities, great location with some of the best sea and mountain views in the UK (in comparison I include places like Elgol on Skye), generally quiet except some traffic noise from the adjacent road and the occasional fly over from military aircraft in/out of RAF Valley, and friendly owners.

Being from an architectural background I could list a load of niggles and things that could improve but it really isn't worth doing because that would be to nit-pick rather than be helpful. If you a want 5* south of France campsite then go to the south of France. Enjoy the drive.

PS.
The pictures show views from our pitch 31 adjacent to the road looking west and southwest + a look at the campsite entrance, and the exit from Newborough Warren (forest) looking back towards the road that leads to the campsite.

A lovely site and perfectly situated for the loveliest beach I've ever been to; I can't wait to visit again.
Due to covid restrictions I couldn't check the showers etc but the general look is very well taken care of and the owner a pleasure to chat too.

Lovely clean campsite based in beautiful surroundings. Helpful, friendly owners. All facilities required for being in a campervan. Grass area not very level so need chokks to level. Beautiful beach and forest only a half hour to 40 min walk. Nice pub and cafe in village.

Me and 5 others spent 2 nights here over the weekend and we had a fabulous time!

The campsite has clean toilets, wonderful warm and powerful shower, nice washing area and good sized pitches. Fairly small campsite which was nice as it felt more like a community compared to large busy ones.

Beach is about 30 minutes walk, high street with a pub, fish and chip place, cafe/gallery and corner shop about 10-15 minutes walk away.

Fully enjoyed my stay, the views across Anglesey are amazing, definitely recommend visiting!
