Well run camp site offering good value with lovely hosts. Thoughtful touches such as kettle, microwave, hot water, freezers. Generous size pitches with great views and nearby beach walks. Handy for village shop and pub too. Highly recommended.

What a great little campsite. We had a fantastic week with friends and dogs exploring the local area.
Very friendly owner on site 24/7, very clean site, well organised, clean facilities and little kitchen with fridge, freezer, microwave and charging station. Campsite it’s small but good size pitch for tents giving more then enough space between tents…

This is a fantastic little campsite in a great location run by two very friendly and helpful owners in Jane and Terry. It has all the facilities you would need when camping, including access to a freezer, microwave, chargers etc. our girls loved the play area and the toilets are nice and clean. Location is brilliant too with an amazing beach and walks nearby.
Ignore the recent one star review from a family we had the misfortune of staying opposite for a couple of days, that is unless you also think it’s acceptable to leave your kids unsupervised from the moment they get up to the moment you eventually send them to bed on their iPads. And if you also think it’s acceptable to have your kids shouting and screaming at 10:30pm, kicking balls against cars and tents then this place isn’t for you - get yourself to Butlins or in an isolated field far from everybody else. You won’t like this site because you’ll be politely asked to quieten down at 10:30pm and then you’ll react with a childish one-star review with terrible grammar. Grow up.

Anyway back on topic, site is brilliant - couldn’t recommend highly enough!

Loved the campsite, was a bit dubious on arrival and passing the washing facilities and shower block on the way in but any reservations were soon removed.
It's only a small campsite so is never busy, views of the main land and the mountains were great.
There is a small playground which our kids loved and could be seen from the tent field.
There were 3 fridges and a freezer for the entire campsite which was more than ample

Phenomenal. For 18 quid a night you get a place to set up camp with WiFi, showers and toilets, charging points for mobiles, fridges to keep your stuff in and some of the friendliest staff I've ever encountered.

Terry in particular was so nice and welcoming, knew everything about the local area and where to go etc. The site itself overlooks the Welsh maintains with a stunning view and close to a trail directly to the beach. Wholeheartedly recommend this place and thank you again to the staff onsite.

This lovely little campsite was one of the best I've stayed in for years. The facilities are beautifully clean, the views are amazing and the owners are some of the kindest people I've met. I felt so safe as a solo camper and I was super happy with this experience. I would recommend this place to everyone. Thanks guys ❤

A lovely little camp side in short walking diatnce to a nature reserve with wild horses, beaches and a small town that has a lovely pub and fish and chip shop. The host where extreamly lovely and very welcoming. Super knowledgeable about the local area and couldn't do enough for you. The site has a real family friendly feel and the facilties where great, lovely and clean. Places to charge your phone, leave your cold food and also board games and books to borrow whilst on site. Also great views of snowdonia on a clear day. Highly recommended. We hope to return soon. Thank you for a lovely stay.

We arrived late and had forgotten a few items, the owners son greeted us and was very friendly, upon setting up the owners mother came over to see if we needed anything and offered to help with our missing items. We Couldn’t have asked for more. Very friendly and helpful. This is our first experience at camping and this lovely family made sure it won’t be our last. Thank you

A great site, exactly what I was looking for being a small, dog friendly site run by welcoming people. The communication and organisation from booking to check in was brilliant and the site had everything I needed and more: clean loos and showers, a very good pot wash and a kitchen with kettle, microwave, fridge & freezer. The pitches are huge so we had more than enough space. The location is excellent especially for exploring the dunes, beach & forest. This site felt very safe for this lone female camper.

When RELYING HEAVILY on a permissive place to pitch, after two days hardwalking involving a wildcamp, you kind of want your booking ahead efforts to be honoured. Before I got to Penllon I was 100% confident I was welcome (excellent communication) and I wasn't let down. Was too tired to tell Jane at the time but she was like a Mother and went the extra mile. Lovely little campsite and plenty about to discover on foot from what I saw. The village and pub are a treat (believe what you read about the Guinness) good Premier food store and a crazy chippy with a good menu.
Boxes ticked. Thank you Jane and Terry.

Great campsite, lovely helpful friendly owners! Small quiet campsite, showers and toilets were all clean and free to use, water was hot! There's a play area for those with younger children! I stayed here with my teenage daughter for 1 night as we were on a road trip but it's a great place to use as a base for anyone wanting to explore the area!

What an absolutely fab campsite! ⛺

Small, friendly and ideal for families! 👪

Dog friendly too! 🐕

They have washing up facilities, toilets and showers, tea making room with a kettle and sockets for charging your technology! Win, win! 💪

There is also a freezer for your freezer packs. You couldn't ask for more. ❄

The pitches are a good size and you can have your car right next to your tent. 🚗

Jane and her partner/hubby are really lovely and so helpful with local knowledge. 🥰

For interest the campsite is about 45 mins drive from Snowdon so ideal if you wanna experience a climb too. We did it and it's a beautiful, scenic route. ⛰ 🌊

Small, pleasant family-run site. Very well kept, very clean and tidy. Large pitches marked out, enough for a large family tent or smaller tents with a gazebo/shelter. No major queues for the facilities, no extra cost for a nice hot shower. Fridge & freezer, microwave and a USB charger provided. Highly recommended if you're looking for basic, but comfortable.

This is quite possibly the best campsite I've stayed on. The owners are super friendly and so attentive - they make you feel more like a regular than first timer! The site is a great size, occupying a single field of about 20 pitches. It's flat with easy ground to push pegs in and remove. If you go for a pitch on the left side you'll get the sun in the evening, and conversely if you like it in the morning then go for the opposite side. Facilities are spotless. They include toilets, showers (with good pressure & temperature control), washing up station, fridge and freezers and phone charging point. There's also local information - although the owner will give you all the main points on arrival. The beach is a 40 minute walk from the site along sandy tracks and through shady forest (look out for red squirrels). The beach is breathtaking and huge. Also worth visiting is the 'warren' with a truly amazing array of wildflowers - look out for hare's tail clover (a personal favourite). In summary, I'll be back (to quote the Terminator!).

Lovely stay this weekend, campsite and facilities are incredibly clean, showers efficient and a handy indoor washing up room if the weather is inclement. Small site with access to charging points and shared usage of fridges, children's play area and lovely views. 15-20 minutes ish walk through pine forest to the beach, fire pits available and really friendly owners. Newborough Park run is a good one if you like a bit of trail running (and I do) Hope to stay again

What an amazing little campsite. We stayed here for 2 nights and what a great place. Terry was very helpful when we arrived. Showed us the site and all the facilities. They have phone chargers, ice packs, fridges and really good shower facilities. Definitely a great campsite, you can see Snowdonia National Park and just a short walk to Newborough Forrest. Definitely a campsite I will be returning. They also have access to fire pits if you have forgotten yours. Thank you Terry for a great weekend.
