Loafing

I often pop into this bakery for a hot chocolate and a bite to eat.
The hot chocolates are amazing, very moorish!

But I wanted to leave this review not only for the good food but for the lovely staff, one young girl in particular, (I think her name is Chloe?) always has a smile when serving customers, is very polite and kind.

Delicious freshly made food and good but not great coffee. A fantastic place for a lunch and sit down to watch the world go by! The outside heaters are phenomenal on a chilly day. A great spot

The bacon and sausage ciabatta is absolutely delicious and reasonably priced for the fab quality! One of the best I've had! Will definitely be coming back here for anther one :)

Lovely local cafe with delicious coffee, pastries and sandwiches! I am not from the area but always make sure to visit when I’m nearby. Highlights for me include the oat milk latte, cinnamon buns, sausage rolls and bacon egg baguette. My kids love the cookies. Staff are lovely, service is friendly and efficient.

Scrumptious end to a local walk, an excellent Tuna melt on Sourdough bread, cheeky Apple Strudel and a steaming hot cup of tea. Perfection !

The best bakery ever - the custard pastries are the best I have tasted. Staff are so friendly too.

I haven’t had their drinks but I clocked a watermelon iced green tea which I need to try!

Only downside (and this is not their fault!) is the parking. There is a nursery next door and without fail, every morning cars are parked in the allocated bakery parking or are on double yellows making it quite dangerous and causes a bottle neck. Probably best to head there outside of pick up and drop off times.

What a gem! Fantastic local bakery with amazing coffee. Love that it’s dog friendly too! The biscuits on top of the coffee are such a treat.
Would love to see a cheese twist or a veggie sausage roll on offer.

Favourite spot to stop on a Sunday morning.

Superb never had a bad sarnie here, cakes lovely too. The dirty chai is a thing of beauty.

So loafing has very much become one of my Saturday morning pre hockey match routines...it’s a delight to find such a lovely small business and it’s a greater to support them...I’ll be seen ordering my sausage and egg roll and latte every Saturday during the season!

Lovely place for coffee and eats, with an added bonus of friendly staff to make your day brighter

Perfect stop for a bite after the Wheathampstead Heritage Trail. Delicious coffee, hot chocolate, sourdough toasties and an almond bread pudding that was so good we bought a second piece to take home! Lovely all round.

The best brownies I've ever had in my life! I hope they win an award for their brownies one day, they are so fresh and decadent. Thank you to such an amazing friendly team for the love they put into making them!

One of the best bakeries with excellent bread, delicious pastries, friendly staff and a nice little seating area.

My go to coffee shop when I visit. Staff not very smiley or chatty but the coffee is some of the best I've ever had. Always smells nice and the food is lovely too! A bit pricey but you're paying for quality so it's definitely worth it.

We went to wheathampstead and had nice walk to George Bernard shaws house.
Nice warm day and was in need of a cuppa.
Loafing was just the place. Nice food and good cup of tea. Looking forward to going back and next time try something else.
