Fantastic, lovely local pub, a great range off beers and spirits....Thursday evenings has street food vib in the carpark...marvellous concept. Family friendly and dog friendly obviously 🙌

Lovely to see the village pub doing so well again with the landlord and landlady putting on different events. Lovely to meet up with old friends at the coffee mornings and Christmas lights turn on last Friday. Keep up the good work 👏

I've rated food high as they lay on a food truck every Thursday evening and sometimes a Fri evening as well.. also open every other Tuesday morning for coffee and homemade cakes + cheese and wine on Wednesdays..

Found a shortcut to The Dog from a neighbouring village so took our dog to check it out. We weren't disappointed. A warm welcome, good beers and food offerings, friendly customers and all good value. A perfect local.

Visited the pub whilst on holiday . We had two dogs with us they were both made very welcome. Staff and customers were very friendly

Recently refurbished, this pub has been constantly improving over the past couple of years. Still retains some of the character of the old pub, but feels so much less dated than before. Newly resurfaced car park has loads more spaces than before, and there's a nice sheltered beer garden at the back. Staff are lovely and they have a good range of drinks. Really can't fault the place!

Lovely little pub we found while staying at X Adventure in dog lane.
Good friendly service and made to feel welcome. Clean and well kept pub. Also pub is dog friendly inside and out. We sat inside but there is a large in closed beer garden out the back. Recommend trying the sheep dog whiskey if your into peanut butter 😋

Quite roomy inside. Nice and clean. Decent size patio out front and a decent size carpark.

Great local pub, very friendly staff team and very welcoming. It's great to have a pub where dogs are allowed inside. Dogs are also given a bone on arrival! Everyone is dog friendly.
There is no food, apart from a Saturday bbq 4-8.30pm. The bbq good is epic though..!

went here a week before christmas, packed with decorations which i wasn't keen on but was very festive. also, an elderly gentleman sat up in the corner stared at me the entire time i was there, presumably because i wasn't a regular face. overall a cosy pub with a nice atmosphere, friendly staff but a bit weary towards outsiders. still gets 5 stars from chunk.

Really nice friendly pub. Reasonable prices. Very clean, I felt very safe. Will definitely visit again when next in the area.

Terrific old school pub with excellent landlord who enjoys fun banter with the locals ably assisted by his long suffering partner...lol..Excellent Ales on offer and has a stunning fire roaring most cold nights...making it difficult to leave..Locals all friendly..very comfortable night out

Popped by for a coffee and complimentary biscuit. Lovely staff, shall investigate their selection of ale next time I pass by.
