Over the years, I have used P&A at Crosby and more recently in Southport. The staff are highly knowledgeable and very helpful. Earlier this month, I took in my 42-year-old Luxman amplifier which needed the internal dust cleaning-out. My old vinyl records and CDs now sound better than ever. Thanks, Chris. Such helpful friendly service. My elderly aunts Tv had lost signal and the gentleman was so nice he came out same day and got it working he was professional friendly and extremely helpful my aunt is elderly and her Tv is company I cannot thank and praise them enough

I’ve been a customer here for a while but not visited for ages. I am definitely not a techy. My TV had ‘issues’. I called in and spoke to Phil and Mike who thought it was a tuning problem and could be fixed by a phone call. They saw the look of terror on my face and visited that afternoon. They were right and it was fixed.

Mike explained the problem and showed me functions on the set that I hadn’t used. They were polite, professional and knowledgable. I recommend them highly.

A real throwback to the days of proper hi fi shops with people who love what they do, rather than just trying to sell you overpriced tat. They'll fix your hi fi if possible, give you proper advice on what to buy within your budget etc. A great shop- not many of these left.

Friendly, knowledgeable and patient. I was there for at least an hour discussing an issue with my turntable the guy explaining everything step by step and even showing me the best way to fix it on a turntable in the store. I ended up spending £55 including a record I bought. I certainly won't be going anywhere else in future.

Huge thanks to Chris and Steve for their expertise and customer support. Forget buying on line - go and have a chat with these guys instead. They were brilliant at working out what music system would work best for me - and then installed it. Outstanding customer service, plus competitive prices. Would not hesitate to recommend 👍

Finally I have my dream vinyl system thanks to patient, knowledgeable and approachable staff. It took a long time before I decided on the best second hand system, but they were very helpful all the time with tweaks, modifications and excellent advice. As a result, I have the best vinyl combination (turntable, amp and loudspeaker) in my attic - I could not be more grateful and happy. The sound is just second to none!

I ordered a Rega Planar 2 Turntable with upgrade kit which they set up for me and repackaged. It worked like a dream and I am now discovering the joys of Vinyl all over again.

Knowledgeable, no pressure advice. Helped me a great deal. Will return to purchase item when ready to buy. Would definitely recommend.

Service, service, service! Amazing. Went in yesterday to audition a set of Monitor Audio speakers. They were all set up in the listening room ready for me. I had my own speakers with me and it wasn't a problem comparing. They spent plenty of time with me discussing my particular needs/requirements etc and advised accordingly. Threw me a curved ball by connecting a REL T5i sub (which is astoundingly good at integrating seamlessly... forget any preconceptions you have about subwoofers). Again, nothing too much trouble even knowing I couldn't just walk out with a purchase; that I needed time to consider my options in my living room (wife etc). Still, plenty of time spent chatting/discussing viability and other areas of hifi etc.

You're dealing with people who seem to love their job. Love hifi. Love music. Have a desire to give the customer exactly what they need if possible. And all with zero pressure. Yes, they want to sell, they need to sell. But there was nothing pushy. Why would anyone buy from anywhere else when we are lucky enough to have these guys?
Thank you for yesterday, P&A, you were 100% customer focused and a can't recommend you highly enough. I'm not sure I can accommodate a sub in my system but whatever I do next, it will be with P&A Audio.

If you're local enough, don't go anywhere else. Prices are as competitive as anywhere out there (including Richer) and a discount was offered immediately, without me even asking, bringing the price of the REL T5i easily inline with an online priced purchase. It would be ludicrous to shop online when this level of service is available at the same price point.

I urge anyone shopping for hifi to support this local business... we need to keep shops like this alive forever!

Superb. I'm 55 and in a quandary about how best to listen to music, at a decent quality, now that they're are so many options available. Unparalleled advice and expertise is available from real people with a real love of music!
