Really reliable bookstore. Although next day delivery isn't available you get what you pay for and then some since free standard shipping is offered. Dispatch dates are different from shipping dates and they state this clearly. Sometimes the delivery companies are at fault sooo. . . Would use again definitely for books I don't need urgently until they offer next day shipping

I had patiently waited for years for a good price on a book I really wanted. Booksplea.se price was exactly what I was willing to pay for it. Their customer service was excellent and the book arrived in good condition. The only thing you may have to get used if you are an international customer is further patience in receiving your package - mine took nearly a month. I'm not complaining - it is just something I had to get used to after usually waiting 1-3 days for a book, but in the end it was worth it. I highly recommend this service - just have patience in getting the right price and in receiving your books, please.

I've ordered from this company a few times & I'm always really pleased with the prices, quality of the books etc. One of my books was damaged during transit of my most recent order; I dropped the company a line just to let them know in case they wanted to look into the packaging or anything & they organised a replacement copy for me, free of charge! I just had to send the damaged copy off to their freepost address & wait for the new copy to arrive. Easy peasy, & very much appreciated!

Ordering from here was a leap of faith as I'd never heard of books plea.se. They had the exact edition of a book I was unable to locate anywhere else, at a fantastic price so I took the plunge. I was pleasantly surprised. Within 9 days of dispatch from the UK I had my book in Melbourne Australia. Very happy, thank you.

First time I have used Books Please. I actually placed my order for a book (that was £10 cheaper than I could get anywhere else) before reading the reviews. Have to say some of the the reviews made me a bit nervous although the balance of good and bad is definitely changing. Even more nervous because the first card I used was declined triggering a security call from my bank. But, my book arrived in very good time, extremely well packaged, and after an accurate email message. I would definitely use this company again as I order a lot of fairly hard to get academic books. I imagine the earlier problems have been overcome and would happily recommend Books Please.

I was a tad wary, at least initially, of ordering from Books Please due to the countless negative comments posted about the enterprise on some other sites. Books Please does have a great selection and pricing, very competitive with the UK-based e-commerce rivals Book Depository and Amazon.co.uk. I tested the waters with a small initial graphic novel purchase on Books Please to see how the bookseller site stacks up (no pun intended) against the competition.

My British graphic novels arrived very quickly from the UK to the western United States, within 4 business days after they were shipped out (or "dispatched" in British English) by Books Please. This was one day earlier than the estimated delivery timeframe of 5-9 business days - I reckon I was on the lucky side of the bell curve! The order was well-packed in a box mailed via the Printed Papers postage rate (i.e., the cheapest postage for books) of the Royal Mail.

Unlike Book Depository, however, no printed invoice or free bookmarks are included with the order. Oh well, they are saving a tree I suppose.

Books Please has passed muster thus far. Thank you and I will consider making additional book purchases from the site in the future.

Wow I can't believe how quickly my book arrived! It came the day after I ordered it, well packaged and in pristine condition. There is also a great selection of books on the website that I couldn't find anywhere else. Brilliant! Will definitely be using again, many thanks!

It is the cheapest place for books in English. Fast delivery. Packaging the order and posting lasted 2 days. From the moment they put on the lap, it took less than 24 hours to get the book. Very well packaged. Delivery in less than 24 hours. The book cost 7 GBP less than the amazon.

I often get the best prices here - it doesn't come up in all price comparisons - never been disappointed and love that there is no delivery charge. Some reviews comment on slow delivery - I've never had an issue - it has always been dispatched and delivered within the times stated.
