Becontree Heath Leisure Centre

The 25m swimming pool is very clean, however, it can get very busy due to swimming lessons and areas for public swimming taking over swimming lanes. Changing area normally clean, but during peak times can be a bit messy. Booking system is very easy to use and slots are always available.

The 50m swimming pool is amazing and very clean, but unfortunately they only open during weekends, morning time only. I hope this could be extended to weekdays with more time slots.

Gym is very nice as well, plenty of equipments and mostly new. Free weights area quite small but overall ok.

Overall, this leisure centre is a great option for gym, swimming and others things to keep fit.

Soft play area for kids is great, but there is a charging fee.

Staff is friendly and helpful, if you got any issues it is easy to address via email and management will reply to you.

Overall, highly recommend.

Great experience. We had a private birthday party. And I can say it was great. Everything is in place, a clean and safe environment. Toilets for kids and adults, hot coffee and tea. Great and welcome staff members. There are 2 little riding machines that kids can sit on, payable by contactless payment. A high, but safe soft play, climb, 2 slides, one short, one long, and a ball pit. Small round tables with chairs.

Really nice place, great facilities and friendly staff. Membership is useful especially for students as they have student discount. Great place.

I am so proud of the new teache Karen kids stage 3, she is so devoted to her job. She ensure they have good practice and give room for improvement.my self and my daughter will surely miss her.she offers good quality training and excellent communication.

Large gym with plenty equipment, currently has the most amazing staff running their classes, who are knowledgeable on the subject they are covering. The reception here is amazing the staff greet you with good morning and even tell you to have a good day when leaving, this centre definitely has the best reception staff hands down out of the 4 centres I have used.

We have been using becontree for our daughters swimming lessons for 5 years now with Abbie who is a brilliant teacher, we were devastated that swimming had to close for so long during the pandemic! Since the reopening we have been very impressed with the organisation, safety measures and friendliness of the staff. We are now enjoying family swims which is even better than before as its bookable in advance and not overcrowded so perfect for my little boy too. The reception team are always happy to help and are friendly too - shout out to Rachel and Mary for their assistance today with rescheduling a booking. 100% recommended!

BHLC is my second home. I love it there. The staff are warm, friendly, and helpful; the exercise classes are excellent, and the instructors are outstanding. The online booking system is efficient and easy to use. And the café is none too bad either.

For me, the only downside is that there could be more classes as the existing ones fill very quickly, resulting in some members regularly being unable to book classes.

Very nice place for all family. We use swimming pool regularly. Kids attend swimming lessons and I do leisure swimming. I used to attend swimming fit classes and it was fantastic. Very good teachers. I am glad that kids attending swimming lessons can do leisure swimming for free. Its only annoying that when you do line swimming people who are not good swimmers take fast lane blocking it and staff doesn't do anything with it.
There is a nice cafe and Jolly Jungle perfect for younger children. Reception staff friendly and helpful. I have never used gym but it looks nice and well equipped.

I don't have much experience with other gym, because its my first one. I'm love it, because its very friendly staff, not far from my home, and cheap. I also attended for swimming lessons for adults and also I'm happy

I find the life guards friendly, approachable and professional.

They are accommodating with regards to my disability, especially life guards Amelia and George who I wanted to mention in this review. Thank you to you both.

Also I like the allocated swim sessions and lanes which I think should continue.

I just want to express my satisfaction in regards my classes trainer, Sue. I have never seen such an involved trainer, so full of energy, such a big smile at all the time on her face, she never stops and guides us so nicely, smoothly. She cares about each of us. I hope the management knows that she's one of the people that makes this leisure centre to shine.

Great pool. Life guards always attentive especially when there's more people in the lanes then there should be. Lost my membership card but Rachel at the reception was really helpful and helped replace it.

There's a kiddie pool which is lovely and warm with a lifeguard constantly on watch.
The big pool has a sliding floor to enable water depth change which is used for Aqua Aerobics and teaching kiddies to swim and much more.
There's a gym and weights room as well as different exercise classes, something to suit all.
There is also a soft play area and a café, parking is free too

I took my children for there swimming lessons and a teacher Alya was amazing. Provided fun and interactive lessons. My child progressed a lot. I definitely recommend this centre for children swimming.

Excellent facilities, great machines and feel very comfortable working out ac is also really nice and cool. However, I think the gym needs to reiterate people cleaning gym kit once they've used it.

Yesterday turned right from main road to the Leisure centre car park where I spotted the sign today saying no right turn. Drivers be careful. I'll learn my lesson hard way 🥺😁.

Always clean, staff always friendly and helpful.. gym has all the equipment you could possibly need and a swimming pool which is well maintained.

My one year old had plently of fun at Jolly Jungle. One of the smaller soft play areas but still plenty to do. The one lady at the counter was very approachable and seemed to be calmly multitasking. Nice atmosphere. Will be revisiting.
