We’re staying in the area for the week and we came here has this place was recommended to us and oh my we’re so glad we did! First of all, the staff are extremely friendly and attentive considering how busy it was and the mains arrived very quickly after ordering, the food here is amazing too with very generous portions. The decor and atmosphere inside the pub is really great, it is a local pub but it’s very friendly, we had puddings and cocktails too which were so tasty. If you’re ever staying in the area I highly highly recommend you try this place out (I would book ahead as this pub was absolutely packed) I cannot fault anything at all, really amazing.

Visited 3 weeks ago and this was our first time here even though we spend most of our summers in llanrug. Excellent 2 course Sunday lunch. All home cooked and absolutely delicious. Our host was very welcoming and she wanted to ensure everyone enjoyed their visit. A super pub and we are very lucky to have you in the village. Now we've found you there will be many more visits to try out your lovely menu, and we look forward to many more lunches next summer 👍😊

A group of us went in as a walk in, they were fully booked for the evening. We explained that we were only having a few drinks and then going. They quickly gave a table and said you could have it for an hour. We loved the staffs hospitality and friendliness. We will be back if ever in the area again.

Food was fantastic, homemade good food made with love, no pre-cut frozen chips here! Absolutely delicious, but HUGE portions so don't get too greedy! The young man who served us was helpful, happy, and simply brilliant at his job. Atmosphere was that of an old school pub, minus the stench of smoke; sports on, people enjoying the sunshine and little ones tottering about with their parents.

Excellent boozer!

Busy busy busy. Great pub, excellent food. Lovely new waitress who served us with a smile. We had burgers which were all delicious and the only reason for food left on my plate was I was soo full!
Highly recommended but maybe book. We went midweek and had to wait for a table. Always a good sign!

Really pleased with Y Glyntwrog, food, service and environment were great.

We had a few family groups but there were groups of all ages in there. A real nice community feel.

Good food and decent portions.

I was gonna post a photo - but I ate the food too quickly!

Really great burger with pulled pork, grilled onions and home made chips !

Meat from the local butchers, chips home made and cut- lovely job.

Old decor - nice old pub with character.

£19.65 for the burger, chips and half a pint of local ale. Not the cheapest dinner I've had, but that would be expected when the food is locally sourced and like this! Diolch yn fawr.

Even though they bought the wrong dish, they swapped it without any fuss. Lovely atmosphere, staff really welcoming and attentive. Food was really good.

Was staying in Nant Peris and wanted to try another pub for dinner in the area. Great food, wide choice and reasonably priced. We went on Wednesday evening about 5.45pm and the pub was packed although we managed to get a table before it was booked for a 7.45pm reservation. So recommend booking ahead as this place seems to be very popular

Popped in unplanned after a Snowdon hike with the family today. Staff were welcoming and found room for us. Food looked great on everybody's plate so I opted for the beef madras which had excellent cuts of beef and a proper home made taste.
The wife's lasagne was certainly beyond expectations, thick, generous and tasty.
The young boy, Aled, who was serving was extremely polite, very helpful and the total opposite to the grunting teenage service you may get in a chain restaurant. He was non stop taking orders, serving and git everything right with our order despite some additions and changes.
Would I go again and would I recommend - definitely. Lovely place for any mountain weary family to stop.

I'll let you all discover the desert yourself 👌

We had a really enjoyable evening. There's a very long menu with classic and local dishes. The local cask beers are are excellent and the wines are very good though the list is small. The lovely waiting in staff appreciated our attempts to order in Welsh. Definitely worth visiting.
