Piggery Pottery

Lovely place and incredible staff. We arrived without a appointment and they were able to accommodate us no problem. It took us sometime to finish and they were very understanding letting us stay for as long as we needed. Very therapeutic experience! Amazing gift shop, the owner does some beautiful paintings and pottery too.

Great place to go when the weather outside is terrible. Friendly, helpful staff. You can buy some item to paint at home, but the fun is sitting with everyone and painting it there. Help, advice and free paint can be given to assist you in making your masterpiece. If you book in advance you can even have a go at throwing a pot on the wheel.

This is a superb place to keep your family entertained for a few hours. Plenty of parking, clean toilets and plenty of pottery to choose from. Choose your blank (anything from around £5 up to £25) then sit at the table booked for your group and use the ample supply of brushes, glitter, glue, acrylic paints and other materials to decorate your pottery. Please note that there is no glaze and your pottery won't be fired. You can take your work home dried, and varnish it at home (or use clear lacquer spray). Staff are friendly, polite and helpful. Highly recommend. Life saver on a rainy day with a bunch of kids to entertain. Will be going back next year for sure.

Visited with my 4 year old daughter and the grandparents, were made to feel very welcome and had a great time. Would recommend for visitors with young kids.

Loved it here!. You have to pre-book. Once there you get to choose from a variety of Pottery from piggy banks to dragons to paint yourself and take home. Price depends on size of the Pottery piece you choose. Very relaxing. Would highly recommend.

We love this place. Lots to choose from at various prices. Lots of selection of paints. No rush, in your own booth. We pre-booked on line the day before,turned up a little early which wasn't a problem. No pre payment required.very easy to find. Perfect for rainy days or to chill with a coffee while the kids paint. Be warned I always get itchy fingers and want to paint too so you'll probably end up having fun too.lol.Staff are friendly and helpful. Good tip to preserve your art work. Get some clear varnish and when its dry. Give it a quick coating. Will last forever.

A great way to spend a couple of hours making something special and unique. All the staff are lovely and very helpful and are keen to help and offer support. The prices are reasonable and there are lots of pottery shapes to choose from and to paint. Make sure you book a spot on line to guarantee a table as it can get quite busy.

Wonderful experience for myself and my daughters (aged 8&4) today. Friendly ladies and a great selection of reasonably priced pottery items to chose from!

Fantastic place to spend an afternoon for adults and children. A good variety of pottery to paint at a reasonable price, super friendly staff, and when we hadn't finished painting (after 4 hours...) and they were due to close, they even gave us some paints and brushes to take home so we could finish our project. Would definitely return!

This place is a relaxed but fun place for pot throwing and pottery painting. Lovely lady running it who is very patient. Good fun for all ages.

We all loved piggery pottery as it was suitable for all ages. I used to take my children as they were growing up there for a treat and now I get not only to take my grown up children but my grandchildren too.

Such a fun experience and a really wholesome way to spend the afternoon, would recommend to anyone!

This place was really good fun, you can decorate Halloween and Xmas pottery and take home in the same visit

The children ( and the big children) love going here. A lovely 2 hours or so of peace and artistic excellence ( well you have to say that when little ones try it out).
We had a 20 year old and 12 year old this time . They produced three fabulously exotic articles !!😄
We will be there again next half term.
May try to throw a pot next time!

Great little rainy afternoon visit with my son. Will definitely be back!

What a lovely experience this was! Very therapeutic and calming! Staff were lovely and friendly talking to my 5 year old telling her how good her pot was she had painted, there are various prices from £5 up to £40.
I bought 3 items for around £20! all paint glue glitter/gems are provided with aprons, there is a snack trolley available also! We got there for a lunchtime session at 12:30pm and left around 2/2:30pm, you can take your items home when you finish and staff will provide you with a box or paper bag. Will definitely be going again!

As a child my son had been to piggery pottery. Returning from America he was very eager that his daughter would visit. Being little she painted a rainbow ornament; During our visit Barbara was most helpful and welcoming. I cannot recommend this place enough I would call piggery pottery a child's happy place.

Wonderful, hands on experience throwing your own pot. The Potter is very knowledgeable and conducted the class brilliantly. Looking forward to seeing our creations glazed in a couple of weeks! Thank you!
