Ilford Food Centre

This is one of my favourite shops in which I find everything I want to buy, especially items that are hard to find in other shops. If you are looking for Mediterranean products, then this is the one to go to. I love their freshly baked Turkish bread and other pastries.

Nice variety of foreign products. We love the fresh bread and the range of halal and eastern European foods.

Great place to find ingredients for middle eastern and Turkish meals. Also at the back they have fresh bread and baklava. Not tried the bread but the baklava is soo good! I don't buy baklava from anywhere else now.

I love this store because I always find everything very fresh, the prices are fair and sometimes I have even managed to get Mexican ingredients.

Although I have another nearby Turkish shop, my husband and I prefer to make our purchases in this store because of the good attitude the staff have & the diversity of products.

The quality is very good.

The attention of most of the assistants is always kind & with a lot of respect.

Especially in the butcher section, the nice and smiling man, very respectful and polite, and in the section to pay, especially a very short lady and a newly hired man, as well as a younger man, the rest of the staff very attentive too .
The four of them are really nice with everybody always.

And none of the staff is racist, I appreciate that very much and infinitely.

Good selection of canned and dried foods too.

This is one of the best places to get Ginger even though sometimes it looks a bit large. It's relatively fresh. I think they've only let me down once or twice so that's why they get 4 stars instead of 5 but they're very good at what they do. Also the olive oil is very good, it's a reasonable price even in comparison to Aldi or Lidl this is why you have to shop around in your local neighbourhoods to get the bargains or you will overspend in just one place.

I've been a weekly shopper at Ilford Food Centre for over 10 years. Love the variety of products, fresh fruits and veg, best lamb chopps you can find! The staff are friendly and attentive, always treated with a great level of care specially towards my elderly mother from Radhika and the other girls at the tills. Love this place!

Good selection of Asian food available.

The food centre is located quite near to where I live so it's walking distance. They have an excellent range of vegetables and fruits and are usually fully stocked throughout the day even if you have to line up due to the quarantine. Recently they had 15 lemons for £1. Wow! There is adequate parking where you can register with RingGo and get 30-minutes free which is enough time to pick up everything you need and get back to your vehicle before the Ninja-like traffic warden slap a £65 ticket on your windscreen. 1 or 2 might look moody but the staff are quite helpful. Also the fact that they have women serving you is a very nice pleasant feminine touch to the business.
