Mandarin Palace

Excellent food, certainly quite different to Cantonese cuisine though there is some overlap. The food is cooked to a high standard with balanced flavours. Slightly pricey but still worth it.

Good food.. nice ambience.. service is also amazing.You can ask them to play a Birthday wishing act if you order a particular dessert ..

Amazing restaurant and wonderful service. We ordered a variety of dishes to try and they were all top quality and full of flavours. This place is a hidden gem of the area. One of the best Chinese restaurants in East London. A must visit!

Eating more traditional Chinese food meant travelling up to China Town in central, now there's no need. Mandarin Palace offers some amazing authentic Chinese food. Haven't tried the dim sum yet, but plan to. Highly recommend the Thai style chicken feet!

Very nice food here and pretty good dim sum which is convenient as normally you would need to travel into central London for such quality.

The place is nicely decorated and there's always plenty of seating. The staff are friendly and attentive. There's free parking at the back, during the week they can provide a permit to use.

The dim sum selection is very good and have all the main dishes you'd expect. All cooked to a tasty and fresh standard. The Ho fun is cooked really well as they have good seasoned woks which adds lots of flavour. Another nice treat are the egg tarts which are hot and fresh from the oven.

Dinner service is also good with lots of variety, we like the morning glory and peking duck!

The food is delicious: generous portions, very fresh, and nice texture and flavours. The sweet and sour tofu was excellent with a crispy outer and lots of crunchy vegetables. Their vegetarian menu selection is good which is unusual for a Chinese restaurant.

Dim sum for lunch is fab. Love this place. I keep coming here and each time it just gets better. Been coming here for 10 years.

One of the best dim sums in london. They were lovely staff members. It was raining and they kindly let us stay inside with our child. We met regular customers who loved the place and have been going for 4 years. The decoration was authentic Chinese decoration. Would definitely recommend for people who love dim sum and do not want to go central. The parking is a little harder to find but there are limited spots near the restaurant.

Celebrated our Mums 82nd birthday here today ,the food and service were excellent. A big thankyou to all the staff who made the meal special and were so kind and patient with the grandchildren.

Extremely high quality mandarin food. I visited this restaurant lots due to yummy food. Strongly recommended Peking duck and pancakes and lobster noodles. Dim Sum is nice as well. These dishes needs skill and Mandarin Palace made a good job.

Without a doubt the best food- never fails to impress. Have enjoyed every experience, the staff are attentive and efficient, the manager always greets us and the food is exceptional- have not had a dish i would not recommend !! Worth every penny!

I've visited this restaurant on several occasions and I must say that the quality of their food has always been remarkable. The standout items are definitely their seafood and dim sum dishes, which are consistently fresh and expertly cooked. I have never been let down by this restaurant. Their menu offers a wide range of dishes from various regions in China, including a great selection of Hong Kong specialties.

Good variety of high quality dim sum dishes for that dumpling fix! The buns are excellent and served warm for maximum pillowy goodness.

Dinner is also a treat. Catering to the “western Chinese” palate as well as traditional Chinese dishes from different regions. Their Cantonese dishes are stand out and the Chinese bbq here is a must try! I think they even supply supermarkets and other restaurants which don’t have the expertise to execute this. Omg the Peking duck 🤤

Another local gem literally at the exit of Gants Hill station and a favourite with locals (half their customers are Chinese which says it all). Highly recommended!

We almost always go to The Mandarin Palace at lunchtime for the dim sum. It never disappoints. There’s a good range of dim sum to choose from and everything is authentic. The service is friendly and it’s pretty inexpensive for a restaurant of this quality. It’s a real gem, worth travelling to get to.

Having flown in from Hong Kong to visit my parents, I can confidently say that Mandarin Palace offers authentic cantonese cuisine that is cooked properly. The flavours and quality of the food rivals many of the restaurants I've tried in London Chinatown, so if you live nearby, save yourself the headache of going into Central London and eat here instead - the food is just as good, if not even better!

The decor is a bit dated, but you get the sense that it's a restaurant that had established itself for a long time in this area. Despite being dated, it was clean and well presented, and staff were attentive throughout our meal. Will definitely come back when I next visit my family.

Parking tip: If coming for dinner, the nearby library offers free parking after 6PM and is only a 5 minute walk from the restaurant!

Amazing food, staffs are very friendly and professional.
Price are reasonable.
