Grape Escapes

We had a fantastic time, staying in Bordeaux and Saint-Emilion over 6 days. Thanks to Cathy and the team at Grape Escapes for organising it, be it an introduction of wine-cheese pairing or visits to not only prestigious but also unique vineyards across the left and right banks of the Garonne River.

Second time using Grape Escapes to plan a trip in Europe and they did not disappoint. First was a Prosecco tour in Italy, which had us coming back for their assistance in the Champagne region of France, specifically Epernay. With Nicola's patient and personalized service, we had another over-the-top and memorable experience. With gratitude to Grape Escapes and Nicola!

My husband and I just enjoyed a week in a number of French wine regions organised by Georgie. Being from Australia it was hard to do research. I gave Georgie a rough idea of what I had in mind and she did the rest. The whole week was well organised and we just got to relax and enjoy all the restaurants, tours and guides. Couldn’t recommend enough!

We used Grapes Escapes to organise a 4-day trip to Champagne and would 100% use them again. The tours were absolutely brilliant and a great way to see the region in a short space of time, we also really enjoyed the tasting at a local bar on the evening we arrived. The recommended accommodation was fabulous, and we appreciated the excellent customer service from the Grape Escapes team from start to finish.

We used Grape Escapes to book a luxury Bordeaux trip. Guilia was so organized, and we loved our itinerary. She is the best travel advisor we have used! And there are so many nice touches that we weren't even aware of until we were on the trip. As an example, we had a couple of Chateau lunch visits, and noticed we always received the best table. The driver and guides they arranged were, again, the best we've had. Knowledgeable, professional, and cars were new. This is a fantastic company. We will absolutely use them again. It was our first time in Bordeaux and it could not have been more perfect. The Chateaus (wineries) were among the very best you can visit if you like better wines. I booked a trip to the champagne region through Grape Escapes for my husbands 40th, and we weren’t disappointed. The whole trip was very well organised from the moment we arrived. The champagne houses that were selected for us to visit were excellent from the main champagne brands to the smaller houses. We finished off our trip with dinner at Le Millènaire, which was excellent.
We will definitely use Grape Escapes in the future. Thank you for a memorable trip.

We just returned from a fantastic trip to the Champagne Region planned by Grape Escapes for our 50th wedding anniversary. Every aspect of the trip was marvelous from the driver picking us up at our Paris hotel, staying and being pampered at the Royal Champagne Hotel & Spa and our visits to the various champagne houses. Lunches and dinners with tastings were spectacular, especially the Prestige Dinner at Le Parc at Chateau Les Crayeres. Every service provided was excellent and we look forward to planning another Grape Escapes adventure!

Thank you, Shay and the whole Grape Escapes team. Everything you planned for our South of France experience was top notch. Celine, our sommelier/wine guide was so knowlegeable and friendly. She taught us how to recognize good wine using sight, smell and taste. Our chaperones for our walking tours provided us with history and everything we wanted to know without being so detailed that we could not relate. Our dining experience at the Michelin restaurant at our hotel was quite an artistic experience, incorporating unexpected tastes in his masterpieces. Our other meals were truly delicious and authentic. I am so glad we took the chance with Grape Escapes. I will definitely use them again and highly recommend them to others for a luxurious, tailored vacation.

Thank you Giulia for planning and executing a fabulous tour of the Champagne region. Every day we spent on our Grape Escapes tour was wonderful. The food, the wine and the accommodation were all top notch. The itinerary you created was varied, thoughtful and well-curated. I know you had a challenge given the time of year we visited and it was evident that many of the champagne houses gave us the incredibly warm welcome they did because of their relationship with Grape Escapes. It was the 50th birthday celebration for which I had hoped and more!

I cannot speak highly enough of Grape Escapes. Our trip was three years in the making: Covid caused major interruption to our plans. However, Grape Escapes looked after our Deposit (paid a week before the Covid outbreak!!). It was still good three years later allowing us to have the time of our lives. A huge shoutout to the team and a monumental thank you to Kyra who was awesome and so incredibly helpful. Her planning and organisation allowed us to arrive in France with everything taken care of. Transfers were perfect and the organised tours: WOW!!!

I celebrated my 50th Birthday with the support of Grape Escape’s. Nicola was a darling from start to finish and helped us navigate 4 days in the Champagne region in April 24.
There was 14 women to please- age range from 26 to 82 and we had an absolute ball!
The tours that were arranged for us, and the restaurants that were selected, were fabulous!

Celebrating our 50th year in Champagne we used Grape Escapes to take the stress out of it, and it worked! Fantastic trip with everything we wanted and lovely hotel and meals. Well worth it!

Can’t thank Shay from Grape Escapes.enough for planning and organising our recent long weekend trip to Reims, champagnes. It was amazing. Highlights included tours of the champagne houses of Veuve Cliquot, Moët and Dom Caudron ( with sabrage), stunning food at Le Parc and visits into Haut Villiers area. Everything about our experience was perfect. Would definitely recommend the cathedral view room with balcony at Caserne Chazny - stunning views.

This was our first time using Grape Escapes to schedule a wine tour and we were extremely impressed! We were wanting to travel to French wine country, but were unsure about all the details. Kyra from Grape Escape was wonderful with helping us set up everything from hotel accommodations, transportation, and winery tours. She promptly answered every question we had and worked to make the trip exactly what we wanted. We were very impressed with everything Kyra booked for us. We will definitely be contacting Grape Escapes again to schedule future trips.

This was our second time to use Grape Escapes and they curated the perfect trip for our 25th wedding anniversary! Guilia was so patient and understanding with my every need and desire. Every hotel, meal, tour, and excursion exceeded our expectations. The days and nights were full of interesting activities that were custom picked to my requests. I can’t thank Guilia enough for her time and care in putting this trip together for us. Here are a few things we did: stayed in a 400 year old monastery, Michelin star dinners, spa day, wine tastings, truffle hunting, car museum, historic walking tour, private boat ride on Lake Como with champagne!! It was perfection! Thank you Guilia and Grape Escapes.

Our tour of Reims and Epernay has been incredible and I wouldn’t change a thing. Every detail was perfectly timed and all the staff and service was so heart warming with great attention to detail.

We had a fantastic trip with Grape Escapes. We spent 4 days in Florence/Tuscany. Everything they booked for us was great. From the hotel, to the wineries and our anniversary dinner. It couldn't have been better.

This was my second wine trip to France organized by Grape Escapes, and it was just as incredible and customized for me as the first, with consistent, thorough, and phenomenal customer service and quality. Rachel Garrod was my person (THANK YOU, RACHEL!) and she did an incredible job and really made our trip another experience of a lifetime. We began planning months in advance and she was responsive (with the time difference, I usually woke up the next morning to find a response from her), informative, flexible to requests for itinerary changes, and patient, as we would add/change things here-and-there over time, like a request for the taxi to drop us off in a town or village instead of taking us back to the hotel, or communicate with the restaurant to find out what was on the prix fixe menu and arrange options if there wasn't something we ate, and she even made special arrangements to accommodate my special request to go to Trimbach for my favorite wine in Alsace. I cannot emphasize enough how this company allows for customization and makes all of the arrangements to allow for very specific types of experiences. Grape Escapes takes all the stress out of travel planning, because they think of everything! The pre-arranged taxi drivers that would pick us up at each train station went above and beyond to connect with us and find us when we didn't know where to be. The all-day guides that Rachel arranged for us in each wine region we visited were PHENOMINAL. We had Catherine Cohen in Loire, Anne (with Ala Francaise) in Champagne, Laurent in Alsace, and Albane Kitenge (Ala Francaise) in Burgundy. Each was fantastic and made each day that much more incredible with their personality, knowledge (history and wine) their "go above and beyond" attitudes and actions, and they were each super fun! They were more than guides though, they paved the way everywhere we went by interpreting, advocating, arranging, navigating our world for us and the unexpected things that came up. The hotels and/or Chateau that were chosen for us were excellent, as were the selected Chateau and wineries we went to. I will continue to use Grape Escapes for my wine travel in the countries where they provide this luxury service and look forward to their expansion (hoping) into Germany!
