Due to the uncertainty of online orders and problems collecting last year, we decided on a quick visit today as we only needed a single item. Lots of helpful friendly staff on hand. We were greeted, and given help selecting the correct size blazer we needed - we could have coped alone but it was good to be helped. Till staff was polite and quick and those by the entrance waiting for customers to help, said goodbye as we left which was a nice touch. The shop appeared to have plenty of stock for lots of schools. School uniform is sadly expensive so I won't comment on that element. Lots of free, easy parking right outside.

Friendly staff, ordered online and went in store to collect. No queue when I visited.

Went to Monkhouse school wear last week to get our grand daughter her first school uniform.
After seeing the online reviews I have to say I was very unsure as to what to expect.
In reality however I need not have had any concerns. Staff were great, helpful and happy, huge range of school wear for so many schools, and plenty of stock. Everything we needed was there on the shelves and we simply had to take the rather large pile to the checkout and were surprised at the lower than expected total cost.
Obviously our grand daughter does not start primary school until September this year, but forward planning does pay off and the amount of stock they had was remarkable.
My words of advice..... Go now and don't wait until August, you won't be disappointed 😀

Obviously last year was a tough year on monkehouse…which made me nervous this year. I ordered the secondary school uniform needed..sadly the size was incorrect..went to store to exchange to find out they don’t allow this option for online purchases however the staff was lovely and told me they were able to return the item for me..so I purchased new uniform in store with no appointment needed. The whole transaction was very easy. The staff are super friendly, they realise last year was a bad year and are doing their best to rectify this. The shop had plenty of choice and sizes available.

They also support the petition to reduce the tax on school uniforms. Which is a big issue for many parents.

Had a great experience in store at Bristol, Stoke Gifford with Heidi. She was very attentive and experienced when helping to get my daughters whole uniform and kit for secondary school. It was an enjoyable experience for my daughter and I.
I would highly recommend Heidi, she'll look after you.

Visited the store recently to buy uniform for my kid. Very helpful young lady on the counter and good variety of sizes to choose from. She helped us with the right selection of uniform and size. Prices are reasonable. Over all a good experience.

Sorry to read the other reviews on here. Incredibly positive encounter with the Monkhouse store staff serving my wife today. They bent over backwards to help with a fairly complicated problem involving sourcing stock and arranging a refund and nothing was too much trouble for them. Great service.

Just came in to get my daughters high school uniform, honestly we would of been lost without the young lady who picked out the sizes great price on the puma bag

I have had previous negative experiences here so was actually dreading the experience of getting my son fully kitted out for his new school but I have to say the staff, particularly Lisa were absolutely fantastic and incredibly helpful. Lisa has so much experience not only as a Mother who has been through this process but also as an experienced staff member and knew exactly what we needed and sizes. The whole process was smooth and so pleasant and I couldn't rate this any higher. Thank you!

I always shop in person, and never had a single issue with them even when wanted to exchange the item and had no receipt on me! They staff are always nice, polite, helpful and understanding! 5 stare from me!

This store was very helpful and friendly despite their systems going down. The lady who served me at the till was very nice and helpful when I asked about Bfs uniform.
Hope they all have a good day and the problem with the computer system gets sorted.
