I finally decided to bite the bullet after months of deliberations, to purchase a Gransfors Bruks large splitting axe.

Instead of purchasing through the website I made the drive out to the store to try and have a look at the large splitting axe and the splitting maul and get a ‘feel’ for them. The guy who served me was fantastic - he ran through both, plus the shorter handled version of the splitting axe, to see what suited me. He even grabbed a few out of stock for me to look at which handle I liked the most.

Honestly, well worth the 130 mile round trip!

I’m sure after seeing the store I’ll be back for another axe in the next few months, as the stock was great.

Additionally 10/10 on the guys rendition of gangsters paradise which was on the radio when I was in the store - pitch was spot on 👍

We ordered some tick removal keys, after having real trouble finding high quality ones that don't fall apart on a keyring/in a bag, ProAdventure had some brilliant metal ones for sale for £7 when all other retailers were charging £20+ and international shipping for the same product, we were delighted to find this company! Shipping was very fast, well packed in recyclable packaging. So impressed to read about how this small business handles themselves, and happy to have been able to support them! Such a brilliant product, I'm a large lady but had plenty of room and can now continue to enjoy the outdoors comfortably

Bought a DD Poncho Lite from here as they were practically the last place to have any in stock during the great DD Poncho shortage of 2019.

Anyway, it arrived after just 2 days, when I opened the poncho I found it had female press studs on both sides of it which was a manufacturing issue.

Ray spoke directly to DD Hammocks on my behalf without delay and DD agreed to send me a replacement... to put this into perspective... I called ProAdventure at 2:01pm... by 2:38pm a member of staff who works at DD Hammocks contacted me to tell me that my purchase had been verified at ProAdventure and a replacement was already on the way via 1st Class Mail... sent by DD.

So I didn’t have to send my poncho back to ProAdventure, who would then have to send it back to DD. To then wait for confirmation, to then wait for another to be sent to ProAdventure for it then to be sent to me. This is how most companies operate nowadays when it comes to exchanges or faulty products.

This was back to basics, pure, simple great service.

37 Minutes... and a replacement sent to my door direct from the manufacturer.

This is testimony to the great service and support by both Ray at ProAdventure, and the guys at DD Hammocks.

Service like this simply doesn’t exist nowadays... or so I thought.

I bought and excellent product from this company as a gift for a friend.
The product - ethically produced without exploitation of poverty was a fine Gransfors Bruk axe.
Unfortunately, when I told my friends wife the next day that we bought it, we were told it was no longer wanted.
I contacted the store and they were very helpful and understanding. They refunded me immediately.
I would nor hesitate to recommend this store for bothe quality of product and customer services.
Should I get a wood burning fire place I will go straight back to this store and but this beautiful tool..

I found these people on the internet as there prices were good I spoke to a very friendly helpful person made my order Friday dinner time and first thing Monday morning it arrived on my doorstep , Excellent service would definitely use again.

Did livechat regarding the size of a Tilley hat which was in the sale.
Staff member (think it was Ray) was very prompt and efficient with his response to my query.

What a great company ordered a Nebo torch it arrived, I thought the battery was flat, charged it up wouldn’t work. Battery wasn’t showing voltage contacted Proadventure within two minutes a returns label arrived via email.
Checked the torch inside for a disk or paper stopping it working turned the battery around & it switched on briefly. Charged the battery = torch working.

Would I use them again YES YES you only know how good a companies after sales service is when you need them and they were there.

I live in the Scottish Highlands and initially tried another online retailer based in Edinburgh but their online purchase system didn’t work properly and despite leaving a message I didn’t hear back from their customer service. Pro adventure were the opposite, online purchase was smooth and delivery to the highlands was free (unlike many other retailers) and prompt. The Gransfors Bruks wildlife hatchet I purchased was delivered sharp and ready to use. Excellent service and great product.

Ordered a new Casstrom bushcraft knife for the kit bag - Really quick delivery time, email updates for invoice etc. and also really appreciate any business that uses minimal, recyclable packaging. Highly recommended, great service.
