We popped in the night before we ate to look at the menu and chat to Di the proprietor. We got a very warm welcome on both occasions. The tapas were excellent … very different to pub food. It’s only small … 5 tables inside and about the sane outside so book if you can. It also helps them plan in terms of how much food to have as everything is freshly prepared.

After experiencing this place as a welcoming cafe we decided to try the evening bistro. We had several plates of tapas and some beer and wine to wash it down. All the food was tasty and the local beer very enjoyable. Di, the owner, was very chatty and obviously extremely proud of her business. Definitely worth a visit

Food is freshly made and fabulous.
Hot drinks are spot on and there's a great selection of alcoholic beverages too. Staff are lovely, work hard and take good care of the customers.
Dog friendly to boot!

Highly recommend this little cafe. They aren't open long hours or all days, but it's a great place to stop and absorb some local village culture and enjoy some tasty home made food.

The staff are super friendly, and incredibly welcoming - we ended up chatting with them almost as much as each other whilst we were there. They were full of local knowledge and very quick to recommend local spots and walking routes.

This is THE Cafe to come to. A ton of women shouting at each other in Welsh while serving brilliant food at excellent prices. The tea is hot and delicious, the cakes are moist and yummy. I am so glad we stopped here while hiking Llwybr Afordir Cymru.

We had the opportunity to dine here last weekend. The people at the model village down the road were so rude and we looked for somewhere else, recommended by a local too. The main character of the place was hilarious, such a hard working women with charm and a smile. The food was superb and the six of us had a great lunch. Would definately go back.

Absolutely amazing place to go on the way to Newborough Forest for lunch! Staff are great to talk to and are always the nicest people when we visit! The panini’s are perfection as well as them having lovely coffees and hot chocolates (even a caramac hot chocolate)! They are also dog friendly and were very accommodating for our dog as well! The ambiance is amazing and like walking into a forest full of red squirrels, really lives up to its name. You can tell a lot of love has gone into this cafe and they can’t do enough for their customers! Love this place and is a need to go when in Wales!

Fabulously quirky wee cafe. Di, the owner, is a smashing host and it was like visiting a friend house. Delicious tea, coffee, and cake and a good old blether about visiting squirrels. Took a wee visit to the equally quirky and beautiful upstairs gallery after a refreshing cuppa and much needed cake. Will definitely go back on next trip to Anglesey.

If you find yourself on Anglesey, eager to visit newborough and pay pilgrimage, as people of old, pre Henry VII, pay a visit to this splendid, happy, inviting cafe. It only has the best coffee - which you can have ground (camping coffee!!), but also tapas! With the hostess the most friendly, helpful person ever. A must stop!
