Formby Post Office

Absolutely faultless service. I have been helped regularly by their advice regarding the best service to use for cost/speed/cover. I'm disheartened by some of the rather negative reviews of the post office service and staff. It's completely at odds with my own experiences of the branch.

Post Offices in general seem to be a bit of a magnet for curmudgeonly customers who seem to like to hold up queues with their interminable petty grievances at the counter, and the Formby branch is no different in this respect. I think it's rather miraculous that the staff are so positive in their outlook. They do a great job, and it's appreciated by many.

Excellent service and staff. It's a small shop and almost always packed but the staff are pleasant, friendly and speedy.

Helpful, pleasant staff. Efficient service (went to renew driving licence and out in under 10mins). Only downside was opening later than advertised. I understand they cannot open early, but when it is cold, wet and windy, it would be nice for them to open on time - 9am on door but not open until 09:03.

Wonky placement of stamps and yawning like a hippo without covering the mouth. A bit grotty, but other than that no worse than every other post office.

Absolutely shocking service. Unfriendly, unhelpful staff. Ormskirk post office is miles better. Won’t be back here again

Waited outside in the cold and rain, 9:00 opening time came and the lights were still off and the 2 ladies doing some sort of sorting behind the glass. They looked up at me when I knocked on the locked door then looked at eachother then back to what they were doing. Left me outside until 9:05 which wouldn't matter normally but it's 2 degrees outside with strong winds. Just thought it was a little rude

Horrible service, terrible staff, attitude towards members of the public, slow service, could be a little bit more polite.

Formby post office have had my parcel since 12/10/20 and it is now 21/10/20. It was posted first class signed for. I am disgusted.

Queue always huge with one person serving.
