Smith's Bakery

One of my go to bakeries when I'm in the area during work. A local community bakery with lovely staff serving the usual items such as variety of breads (ranging from multi seed to spelt & honey), sweet pastries (doughnuts, Swiss buns, Danish etc), and savoury pastries (hot pies & pastries, sausage rolls, streak bakes etc). Usually I go for the savouries and they are just comforting to have on a brisk day...

The staff at the bakery are always friendly and helpful. They are always happy to make recommendations or answer any questions you may have. I have never had a bad experience at Smith's Bakery, and I recommend it to anyone looking for a quick bite to eat in the area...

A fantastic small bakery, amazing bread and pastries. Highly recommended. I have been using them for many years.

I haven't been here in many years. I was visiting family and they mentioned it was the best place for fresh bread, filled rolls and cakes.

The queue running down the street is an indicator of the how great this place is. Best jam doughnuts I've ever had and incredible bloomers make Smith's a weekly weekend visit. Can thoroughly recommend.

Places like this are disappearing from our towns and villages, and what a great shame. Good range,staff and prices, places like Greg's are not in the same league.

Really good on price. Bread is lovely with many different variety. The sausages are korkers very nice, staff are lovely they have been there for years

Due to staff change servers are much more polite. Bread as sandwiches are excellent value for money with quite a reasonable selection of drinks also.

I go there 3 times a week for my lunch at work. In-fact i'm enjoying a crusty roll sandwich from there as I write this. Fantastic food. Fantastic service.

Great local bakery. Get there early on a Saturday as all the best cakes will have sold out. Their sausage sandwiches are legendary
