We stayed for 4 nights (December '23) and had an enjoyable time at the hotel and the staff had made it as accommodating as possible which is delightful.
Breakfast was simple but we enjoyed it, room is spacious (we had a master suite) and the housekeeping did a fabulous job - heater was working well, sheets were always clean.
We had dinner for 2 nights and drinks and the selection is decent.
Happened to run into the owner during one of the afternoons and he is one of the friendliest person to speak to.
We have not tried the afternoon tea nor spa but will aim to return in summer again.

We stopped here for a couple of nights. The food and beer was spot on. Hot tub area is really nice. Even though it's having a lot of renovations at moment I can't fault the place. Once it's finished this place will be amazing. We'll definitely be coming back once it's finished.

Although some of the reviews are quite controversial, I can honestly say myself and my family enjoyed our stay from start to finish. The hotel is set on a stunning ground with picturesque scenery and views, and the staff are more than accommodating with letting us see and walk around the Abbey, which has a history within itself. At meal times, the floor stuff were always happy to accommodate our meals to how we wanted them. All in all a 5☆ stay.

My Wife and I stayed here from 15th Decemebr to 18th December 2023 for our Wedding anniversary weekend.
We had read the reviews beforehand so didn't really know what to expect.
Upon arrival we were welcomed very politely and professionally.
Our room was excellent and warm and cosy and there was a bottle of bubbly waiting for us as well.
We spent plenty of time exploring the grounds etc and me tthe head of maintenance and he showed us a lot of the ongoing work. There are brand new hot tub areas sectioned off with lovely countryside views.
The spa is under refurbishment as it seems previous owners kind of trashed a lot of things before they left.
We spent time in the bar area ad it was very comfy, warm and the staff were excellent and extremely polite.
On the Sunday they were so bust having over 30 people for cream teas and nearly 100 people for dinner, but i didn't see anyone shivering or complaining and the cream teas that came out looked absolutely wonderful.
The bar has a good selection of wines and has draught lager, ale, and Guiness, as well as alot of bottled beers and ciders.
All in All an excellent getaway, and as for the creaky lift that is just dry runners as it moves, we thought it was funny.
Very lovely place and Great staff.

A group of 4 couples enjoyed a 2 night stay. The hotel is in a spectacular and beautiful location. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed 2 dinners and breakfasts, the the young waiters were somewhat overstretched with the number of diners but were friendly and helpful, perhaps a few more could be employed. Overall we enjoyed a very pleasant time.

We just had a 2 night stay at Wroxall Abbey Hotel and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We had an evening meal the first night which was excellent and a really good cooked breakfast both mornings, the staff were attentive and very friendly. The Hotel is beautiful and set in stunning surroundings with amazing views over countryside from a large patio area at the rear. Like most old buildings it could do with a little TLC in places but don’t let that put you off as we want these establishments to continue for people like us to enjoy. The en-suite bathroom we had was a little bit snug but served it’s purpose but on the plus side the shower was excellent, it was very quiet overnight so could have restful night on the comfortable bed. All in all definitely recommend for a good base for exploring the beautiful Cotswolds.

The Hotel has just been taken over and was cheap for the two days we booked. We had a deal with dinner on the first night and breakfast both days. This was booked by my wife for my 60th Birthday. I was a little nervous as I would normally check the hotel and research it. What a surprise. The room was not ready when we arrived but bang in 3pm it was and the room was a standard room but it was large with two chairs coffee tea biscuits complimentary water and a free bottle of bubbly. It’s was getting better. The evening meal was to say the least outstanding it was included no special
Menu anything if the main menu starter main and pudding there are some surcharges for some dishes but not lot of money. It was a high class meal that tasted fantastic. A great nights sleep could the breakfast be as good oh yes all you need continental and British fry up. The staff were excellent. A totally fantastic stay even though the pool and gym were under reconstruction and out of use that didn’t matter a walk round the grounds with spectacular views was great exercise . A great break would recommend.

We booked on a offer with secret escapes, 2 nights, breakfast both mornings, bottle of fizz on arrival and meal credit for our meal first night.
All the staff we amazing, some had not been there long and if they hadn't told us this we would have known. Suomik and Sachin were extremely helpful and friendly, they went above and beyond the whole time we were there.
The food was amazing, presentation and taste were all perfect.
The grounds and hotel were all lovely.

What a great experience and fantastic value for money mid-week. A welcome alternative to other hotels, whilst exhibiting at the NEC. One star off as things a little slow in the restaurant when busy but very happy and would book again. The house and grounds are very pleasant indeed.

What a great stay! Stayed here recently on a long trip in England and had booked a room to stay in after exploring Warwick Castle for the day. Booked the dinner/breakfast room rate and what a great deal! The dinner was delicious as was the breakfast, they had continental and hot plates as well. Friendly staff and service, the hotel and grounds were beautiful. There is even a farm with a fence that meets up to the property and some cows came to greet us, how cute! Room was clean and comfortable and had air conditioning, a rarity.

My fiance and I have stayed in this beautiful hotel for one night with the Wowcher deal. The room was newly refurbished, very comfy bed, blackout curtains, stunning view from the room. We were presented with a bottle of prosecco on arrival. We went for a walk to appreciate the hotel surroundings- a must do.

Dinner was amazing - we had Camembert and Scallops (wow wow, wow - out of this world), followed by sirloin steak and chicken supreme, followed by sticky toffee pudding and a cheesecake. Food was delicious, staff was very friendly and attentive. We had a small issue with the bill when it arrived - only at that point we found out that the dinner was not actually included as such, but only a £25pp discount towards it, which neither mentioned at the wowcher deal - it just says dinner included, nor explained to us by staff at any point. The issue was resolved quickly and professionally by the restaurant team, but I believe that should be clarified to the guests from the beginning to avoid the confusion.

Breakfast was nice as well. We would stay again.

In the present context I am giving Wroxall Abbey Hotel a 5 star review but more importantly an encouraging review. We have researched and understand how it was a superb place but had fallen on hard times (2 receiverships in the last 4 years?) but look past the surface and one finds that all the great things are still in place - the wonderful setting, the history and the architecture. The present team is brave enough to attempt to revive it and we, for one, wish them well! They are doing a great job, more importantly, trying very hard. There are a few ‘tough edges’ to iron out but they will get there, of that I have little doubt! The world is changing and I think they will succeed because they are changing and responding to it. Keep the good work up and soon your prices (and profit) will reflect that. The staff we came across has the right attitude and no one more than Martine at reception!!! Well done and we hope to come back!

What a lovely place. Went for a Sunday lunch and, despite some negative reports that id read, our meal and service were brilliant. Give it a go!

Just had a wonderful nights stay at the hotel. Room was very nice and comfortable bed. The evening meal was tasty as well as breakfast the next morning. We met the owner and his wife who were both very welcoming. We asked to visit the the 11 century church in the estate and was shown around by the owner which was much appreciated. Definitely 💯 recommended and looking forward to going back in the future 👍😊

A really stunning building with so much history. 8 of us old girls from Wroxall Abbey school stayed for a reunion and what a fabulous hotel now. The staff went over and beyond to make our stay a memorable experience even showing us round our old school classrooms, swimming pool and basement.
So far the renovations have been sympathetically done with plans to do so much more.
The food was delicious and good sized portions.
I am going to return again in March so my husband can see this fabulous hotel.
Thank you to everyone at Wroxall Abbey Hotel for making our visit extra special.

A great hotel in the most beautiful setting. Far more than I anticipated, an incredible historic building and stunning grounds.

The staff were super friendly and accommodating, the rooms were lovely, bed really comfy and a great shower.

Food in the restaurant was great- had a great dinner (and far too much wine and brandy). All in all a really great experience, would highly recommend.

So let me start off by saying that the staff here are amazing. I would like to call out Caroma and Roger especially. Not only for their outstanding professionalism, but also for their willingness to engage in conversation and keep this solo traveller entertained. Without them the experience wouldn't of been half as enjoyable.

The room was very comfortable. Even in the mansion cozy (the smallest room), it had everything I need with a great shower, large TV and to top if off it is adorable.

The location is amazing, 25 minutes and you are engulfed in Shakespeare. And 15 minutes and you are at one of the premier English Castles. With many other wonderful sights and places to explore.

I will 100% be staying whenever I have the opportunity and may even find excuses to stay here again.
