Camping with a beautiful view and such a wonderful host!

Heather was so kind and caring, never experienced such amazing hospitality from a campsite! We stopped in the bell tent and so much thought has gone into making the stay an amazing glamping experience. Worth every single penny. Will 100% be back! The kids loved seeing the tractors, cows, rabbits and stunning countryside views, as did we! Thanks for making our stay one to remember xx

What an absolute fanatic site with one of the friendliest owners I have ever met. Phoned up last minute to book and there was space for us we was made well aware that the field could be boggy due to the heavy rain. All the pitches are so spaced out it's brilliant all with their own fire pit. Can even buy bags of woods if needed. The view is absolutely cracking too. There is an old trailer that has a sink in plus tea and coffee and fresh raw milk which is a lovely touch and some games for kids. There was no rush to leave or have to get off. We had a great time and great night definitely recommend to anyone who is passing or visiting to stay here.

Stunning views and a lovely spot for camping. Good for walks down to the golf club and the pub nearby is good as long as they aren't away on holiday.

We couldn't find the generous free milk that is usually there.

This is our new favourite place for camping with the family.
Fantastic views of the Tyne Valley and The Feathers Inn is only a couple of minutes walk away in the beautiful village.
Heather is the best host, very friendly and helpful.
We're self sufficient in our little camper but there are immaculate portaloo's here should you need them.
There's also a lovely horse box with free milk straight from the owners dairy farm, tea, coffee and sugar and a place to clean your dishes.
Lots of firepits dotted around so you just pick one, buy some logs from the owner and you're ready for a cozy night.
Music etc off at 10pm so the little ones can get to sleep and you can stargaze by the fire in peace.
We managed to have a look at the glamping tents at the other side of the village and they're fantastic too.
We'll be returning soon ❤

I had a lovely two night stay at this campsite and had the field entirely to myself. Gorgeous views of what I believe is Tyne Valley and top place to watch the sun set. I can't remember the names of the owners (sorry!) but they couldn't have been more accommodating. The wood I bought for the firepit wasn't lighting very well and they disappeared and came back with more logs for me. I also had to get a jump start on the morning I left as my battery died. Unfortunately, the Feathers Inn was not open when I was there so I didn't get a chance to try it out. The pretty town of Prudhoe is a short drive away, although it is very hilly. There's a lovely Italian coffee shop there that sells fresh cannoli (flipping delicious), a Co-op and a Farm Foods, as well a lovely little grocer's and a few pubs and restaurants.

The castle in Prudhoe is £9.50 to visit if you're not a member of English Heritage (or could be National Trust), and there is a nice river walk nearby with a couple of places to eat.

Just a lovely, quiet spot with beautiful views. You might also get a visit from Moss, the dog from next door's farm. 🙂

Highly recommended.

The site has easy access from the main road onto a large field, flat with an odd slight incline here and there, no large hills or big bumps, with plenty of flat areas. The site belongs to a working farm and so the grass is cut and used for the cows, it is not a manicured lawn. The 'bays' are marked with tyres and are very well spread apart, we could not hear our neighbours at all, although everyone there were spread out quite widely. It was extremely windy when we got there, no fault of the site, but there are hedgerows to use as a natural windbreak if required. There are porta loos on site which are kept very clean, there are also free tea and coffee making facilities, a container of clean cold water, hot water and fresh milk, unpasteurised, straight from the cow, very tasty. The field is open to the elements, but also open to some of the best scenery you will get, you can see for absolutely miles and miles down into a valley of woodlands, fields, small villages and singular houses, stunning on a clear day. The night sky was just as awesome, thankfully devoid of cloud and only the smallest hint to the east of light pollution. One of the best places I have been to stargaze. The pub is only a five minute walk away but I cannot comment on that as we did not go there, only saw it as we entered the site.

Don't get me wrong, this is a basic site, a farmer's field, it does not belong to 'the Camping Club' nor their clientele. What you do get however, is a friendly, warm welcome from an owner who is very easy to talk to, a view second to none, a pub within easy walking distance, and a pitch to set up on that is probably bigger than you'll find anywhere else.

We had a thoroughly enjoyable time and would definitely visit again.

Absolutely love Valley View Camping Site! The place is great and the views are breathtaking. The people are awesome, too! We didn't have stuff to start our fire pit with and although it was last minute when we asked, they accommodated us which made our night an even better one. It's our little boy's first camping trip and this has been a very wonderful experience for him. Overall rating of AMAZING for Valley View!

Great location for views and the unlimited pitch size makes it easier! There are fire pits dotted around in various parts of the site, there are 2 portaloos which are very clean with a trailer supplying tea/coffee/sugar and fresh milk!
The feathers Inn pub is a 4-5 minutes walk for refreshments/food.

Had a lovely family stay in our campervan.
Lovely big field with fire pits at each pitch, family pub 5 minutes away and the anchor inn (7 minute drive away) which is dog friendly and serves gorgeous food.
Tea and coffee facilities and spotless portaloo’s.
We met the owner who was lovely.
If you’re looking for a peaceful stay, we do recommend.

A lovely site with a great view. Nice and straight forward for arrival and pitching up. Nice and friendly owners. Free tea and coffee with fresh milk from the cows is a great touch. Lovely pub just down the road too. Will certainly be back!

Excellent stay here - this was our first time camping but really enjoyed it. Site was clean and well kept and appreciated the provision of the free/coffee/ tea/ hot water and delivering the wood for the fire pit. Great stay - will visit again!!

Fantastic campsite!! We stayed here for our little ones first time camping and they loved it. Nice, quiet and clean. The owners are really nice and they deliver logs later on if you want them for the firepits.
Thank you! We will definitely be back again

We had a very nice time at the Valley View Camping & Glamping. The environment is beautiful and the people of the campsite were very very nice. We were allowed to camp in the glamping because it was raining so much. We went home with wonderful memories. Thank you very much, Heather and family!

Fantastic location, wonderful views, as close to wild camping without wild camping which is hard in a bell tent!! Portaloos spotless, fresh water available, campfires allowed and encouraged, would definitely return and recommend..
