Masjid Quba

Masjid e Quba in Stamford Hill is a welcoming mosque with a serene atmosphere. The community is diverse and friendly, making everyone feel at home. The mosque offers educational programs and events, contributing positively to the local community. It's a convenient and well-maintained place of worship worth visiting in the area.

Parking is very limited in the surrounding area though. It's located at the basement level so need to look carefully for the entrance as it can be easily missed when walking by.

An important mosque in my family's history for past and present generations. I had my nikaah here... the imam who conducted our nikaah held a wonderful service, alhamdulillah.

Cleanliness

The Masjid appears clean and well maintained. The wudu area has dry floors, is quite spacious. It is not wet and messy like that in some other Masajid.

What's on offer

5 daily prayers, sometimes talks, occasionally youth talks, and recently a kids talk or story for primary school ages. A prayer hall with the sort of carpet that is decorated in rectangular shapes, almost suggesting a rectangle per person which is not quite stuck to when prayer starts and worshippers stand shoulder to shoulder. The prayer hall looks like it can accommodate hundreds of worshippers. There is another little section some use behind the main prayer hall nearer the wudu area.

There are some chairs for those who need them.

The Masjid has a community centre next door but this seems to only be open during the week according to Google Maps.

I have attended a couple of youth and other talks which have been good and well attended.

I saw a visitor kitchen too.

Atmosphere

The Masjid is one of the best I have been to for adherence to salat, for worshippers not just doing the fard or obligatory prayers but then dutifully, conscientiously doing some non obligatory prayers or rakats after the obligatory ones.

Many Masajid I have been to get around 10, 20, 40, 50 for daily prayers but here I saw over 100 people doing salat or prayer at a time. Excellent. The youngsters though seem to turn up just before, like one minute before prayer starts and leave almost the minute it finishes.

Staff or volunteers are always friendly and helpful.

Toilets

The toilets are clean and plentiful but some were sadly lacking toilet paper when I inspected months ago.

I love this masjid, its always clean, comfortable warm and welcoming. The imam has very nice recitation too.
The mosque is open for all jamaat prayers but due to covid restrictions there are no toilet or wudhu facilities and all prayer goers/ visitors to the mosque are required to bring a face mask and their own prayer mat. Prayers are socially distanced. Things have definitely changed. Since covid.
This mosque also offers talks/bayan/kutba via an online platform which can be easil fund via google. Thank you to the committee for keeping the mosque open.

Mosque 🕌 always beautiful. Masjid Quba is one of them very clean and beautiful Mosque. I never stood in queue to gain entry to mosque. Always found enough space to pray. Ma sha Allah staff and organisers are very professional and educated. Love this mosque.

Nice place to pray and reflect, Dawat atmosphere, very good taleem for adults and children. Wudhu and washing facilities very good with fresh towels every day. 5 star. This masjid has a new Imam with beautiful recitation. MA.

It's a Pakistani mosque which is a beauty of stoke Newington muslim community. I love to go and pray there on Fridays as well as Traweh.

Been coming here for jummah over the lockdown period, volunteers in the masjid have been superb. So kind and helpful, always a positive experience when I visit. Jzk
