Had lunch here today. Nice place with great music. Service was also great throughout. The food is decent and the standout dish was the chorizo. The prawns/gammas were also good. My daughter really liked the cod croquettes too.

Good value as well. Three dishes for £12 on a lunchtime menu.

We had a great lunch here, ordering 12 different dishes for the 4 of us. Most of the dishes were exceptional, and we really enjoyed the pork cheek, ham croquettes, and prawns. The bread was also very nice. We got the Biscoff cheesecake and the almond cake, which were both lovely, but the cheesecake was just incredible. An all-round great experience, and not too expensive!

Delightful customer service as always during all our visits. Maria is such a wonderful host who always take massively good care of us when we visit. Food is delicious with generous portions, and the prices are nominal.
We would height recommend of this place for both food and ambience.

First time we’ve been here and really impressed with the food and service. Had the meat paella which was very good. Service was excellent and food came very quickly. Prices were very reasonable and we’ll definitely be coming again

Came here for a drink with my partner. We had a couple of small plates and some drinks. The value and quality is very good overall, and very good in relation to surrounding venues in Stevenage.

Service was good but clumsy at times, we had three servers ask if we wanted to order more in rapid succession- only comment to make would be that it would he nice to have more coordinated service I.e. just one server attending to our table.

Really enjoyed my time here- bit of a gem in stevenage, will definitely be back.

We visited El bar de tapas for a dinner date following a friend's recommendation and it did not disappoint! Probably one of the best tapas we ever had! Affordable by far and tasteful!
We loved the biscoff cheesecake! We will be coming back for sure!

Went for lunch and the food is amazing as always. So fully of flavour and so well priced! Really love this restaurant, one of my favourites in Stevenage. Definitely recommend, staff were lovely and never had a bad meal. The churros were delicious, I would try and pick a favourite dish but I loved it all! Although they do need to update the website because it says the lunch menu is £9.99 for 3 dishes but I'm sure we paid £11.99, but still very worth it

The food was really great and cater for both vegetarian and non vegetarian! Our server Ella was really lovely and very attentive and made the experience. The service was very fast, but they still allowed us to take out time with the meal! Would 100% come back

I’ve been walking past this place over the past year and attended here for the first time, two weeks ago, to celebrate my dads birthday with the family.

Such a lovely experience overall - booking over the telephone was smooth and staff on the day was very accommodating to our party of 8 (including two buggies). The food was delicious, the atmosphere and staff were excellent! Thoroughly enjoyed and will definitely be coming back to try evening menu for paella!

Amazing Spanish food, service was amazing and got lots of newly baked bread with garlic butter!

Pleasantly surprised by what a great meal I had here and what a great value it was. The menu is solid with a nice selection of items that make it clear they’re not trying to do everything.

The wine we ordered was lovely and went down easily.

The food was tasty and there was plenty of it. The charcuterie was very generous and nicely put together. Chorizo was well cooked and tasty.

Staff were friendly and helpful. It was a lovely evening out.

Maria hosted a baby shower for 16 of us and couldn’t have done more to accommodate!

The weather was not on our side but we were allocated a semi private space in the restaurant and it was perfect!

My favourite place to eat in Stevenage. People are lovely and so is the food! Great gluten free options including dessert. Ella was our server and was such a delightful person to chat to.

I have an intolerance to Garlic, which means Tapas is usually out the window. I wrote a note on my booking asking for dishes without garlic to be recommended. To my amazement, I arrived and was presented with my own menu with dishes I could/couldn't have and those they would prepare for me, especially. I've never had this at any restaurant. They clearly went above and beyond. Will be back!

Excellent! I've been wanting to eat in for a few years and finally made it. What a treat Carlos and Maria are brilliant, service was perfect, food and drink were lovely, we had 5 tapas dishes, the chorizo in red wine was amazing, garlic and chilli king prawns were excellent. can't wait to try all the dishes. Great selection of drinks. Really surprised how big it was inside. Lovely atmosphere as well with some traditional sounding music and decor. Really can't recommend it highly enough and looking forward to the next visit.

My partner took me here for my birthday. We had the seafood paella. I love the mocktails they do here also. The staff are always so friendly, they even brought me strawberries and cream with a candle and sang happy birthday

We headed here for more cocktails after having lunch at Lavish.
We had a warm welcome from the staff & our orders were taken by a super lovely server who recommended the Dirty Banana Cocktail which was amazing 🙌🏼 their Strawberry Daiquiris were to die for! We also had a few peach shots which went down nicely 😊
Although we didn't dine there, the food smelt amazing & we will be arranging a night to eat there very soon 🌟

My first visit, and I wasn’t disappointed. Having spent time in Spain, I was wary of trying this place in case it fell short but every bit as good as the food I had there. Incredibly flavourful, freshly prepared and generous portions. Beautifully presented, friendly staff who were very accommodating on my visit when I got bothered by a wasp and had to move inside! I will be back.

Stopped here whilst visiting Stevenage Old Town and what a great surprise. Haven't had Tapas much tbh and really enjoyed the restaurant's interpretation of this multiple dish classic meal.
The waiting staff were attentive but not intrusive and really polite. As soon as we were seated fresh bread and aioli was served.
All of the dishes we ordered were flavoursome, perfectly prepared and really quick to arrive.
No the portion size isn't huge but for the price was very reasonable.
Really enjoyed our meal and have already recommended the restaurant to friends.
