Had a fantastic time. This place is smaller than many zoos, but the staff are so friendly and informative, and there's still plenty to see. The experiences are also reasonably priced and well worth doing, Hamish the Arctic fox is well worth feeding. Will definitely visit again.

Really enjoyed our visit, the animals are fabulous and the keepers so knowledgeable. All the staff were very friendly. The bat enclosure was great and we loved the leaf cutting ant exhibit. We did the Arctic Fox and Binturong feeding experience, which was brilliant. The whole day was good value for money and we'll definitely visit again in Summer.

Lovely little zoo with very friendly staff. Everything was clean and all the animals look like they are well taken care of. I absolutely loved the bat enclosure where we can walk through with them flying above and around us.

I did the capybara experience and it was definitely the highlight of my day, the zoo keeper was personable, funny and very knowledgeable. We also went to another talk about otters and binturong and it was very interesting too.

I look forward to coming back in the future when new animals arrive :)

Every member of the staff was soo lovely and knowledgeable. We went to a bird of prey talk, and did the capybara experience. We had a lot of fun, we fed and stroked capybaras, and listened to the zoo keeper teaching us about the animals. Lovely time! The zoo is pretty tiny, but well kept. I think you can spend 2-2.5h there. The Arctic fox enclosure was great, and we also really enjoyed leaf cutting ants display. I'm glad the zoo is also doing some conservation work for wild animals/environment 💗

Had an absolutely lovely time!
Would recommend to do the Capybara experience, so much fun.

I would like to thank employee Kate personally for her kindness and good service!
She was basically our personal tour guide for the day and she was amazing.

Would love to visit again!

Awesome little zoo.
You can potter round at your own speed and not miss anything.
There are shows on , we watched the bird show which was very interesting and informative. The gentleman who did the show was great.

Watched a show on the Otters and Binturong which was fascinating. I have never seen a Binturong. The girl who did the talk was very good. Knowledgeable and informative again. Well worth watching the show/ feeding

There’s animals I’ve never seen in other zoos here which was a nice experience.

There is plenty of parking. If you’re staying at Ribby hall you have to visit. You don’t need a full day to come here but a good few hours and you will see everything around the zoo

There are toilets on site also

Tickets are £8.95 for adults , £7.50 for children (3-16 years)
Family passes are available as well.

Enjoyed my visit to Wild Discovery and would visit again.

Small but perfect for a short visit. We'll laid out and accessible for most people. Some interesting animals and birds.
Saw the bird demonstration where you get to see them fly and narrative by one of the staff. About 15 minutes long so great for children.
Will probably go again when the weather is better but really enjoyed the visit.

A smaller zoo located inside Ribby Hall Village, Kirkham, Peston.

While they may not have some of the larger animals eg Elephants, Giraffes they make up for this in their attention to visitors and experiences offered.

Experiences : you can pay a little extra to feed certain animals. £10-£45 depending on animal eg capybara are in the higher bracket, you get 30mins in with them but the tickets sell out fast.

The zoo is new, been operating for 7 years when you take into account the likes of Chester Zoo and Blackpool Zoo.

Family of 4 entry only £30. The site of the zoo could be covered in 2 hours if your just viewing the exhibits/habitats. This leaves the rest of the village to explore. You can also leave to zoo and come back in, same day, just keep your entry tickets available for viewing but I found I could pop out, have a vape then re enter which I did twice on the visit.

We opted for the feeding experience for the Bats, Birds of prey, Binturong and artic fox's. The keepers were amazing and very knowledgeable about each animal telling us about each one, where they are from etc. Capybaras were sold out but we watched as another couple went into the enclosure to feed them.

We booked our tickets in advance, now, not knowing if it was just because it was a weekday it did look like a few of the attendees were from the village site and just paid on entry. There were little to no ques and even though the site is smaller the visitors weren't stepping on each other to view the animals or get around.

Single prams are no issue getting around from what I could see from guests with toddlers/babies. Double prams/side by side could have a couple of issues getting around some of the busier/tighter areas eg wild cat pathway.

Overall it was well worth every penny we spent. My daughter's loved it and I could if stayed in with the bats all day. We got there at opening which was 10:30am and left at 16:35.

What an amazing place! Had no idea this place existed and so glad we visited.
A small zoo but with big personality!! You can see all kind of animals from reindeer, otters, binturong, ant eaters and so much more. For just over £8 per adult you get to walk round, see the animals, talk to the people who work there and go and listen to the numerous talks.
I loved the otter and the birds of prey talks today, the staff are so knowledgeable and interesting.
The great thing about your ticket is it is all day, so you can nip out to Ribby hall for food or drink and come back in.
What a gem of a place!!

Really like this little gem of a place. Certainly not the biggest zoo we've ever been to, we went round in about 2 and a half hours, but for value for money it is definitely one of the best. We did the birds of the world experience and loved learning about Virgo and Oscar while feeding them. Next time we go back we are gonna do the capybara experience, can't wait.

We visited whilst staying at Ribby Hall Village. Went spent a couple of hours there but could've easily spent more time. We had fun looking at the wide selection of animals and watching the bird display. My daughter and myself also did the extra activity of getting to feed the bintarong - it was great to learn about them from the keeper and have an up close experience with such a lovely animal.

Lovely small zoo big enough for little ones, lots to see. In Ribby hall and once you've paid you can go in and back in later that day.

This zoo was brilliant. A diverse range of animals and a clever layout of the facilities that offered a highly engaging experience. All of the staff were extremely pleasant and educated us on the various wildlife as we went around the facility despite it being the end of the day and having other administrative duties to attend to. This exceptional customer service provided a more immersive experience compared to other zoos we have previously visited whilst also offering fantastic value for money in my opinion.

A fantastic family day out and would highly recommend.

Great afternoon out with the kids, more of a local, personalised vibe than Blackpool zoo. It certain isnt as big, but loads of space to take your time watching animals and have an ice-cream sitting out on the rattan patio furniture. Animal talks just right length for kids + loads of interesting info on the animal conservation work they are involved with.

Wow brilliant little zoo, fantastic we loved it loads to see perfect for everyone staff are brilliant not expensive too and you can come and go all-day, nice and clean loads of talks with all the animals and you can feed some from £10,

The guy who did the birds display was very good he told us everything about the birds he was working with and where they were from and he was very knowledgeable and well done to all 10/10

Definitely going to visit again.

It really surprised me, £8.50 and it had tons of exotic animals, the pictures don't do it justice. The birds of prey show was great and I got to see a vulture. Bear cat smells like popcorn lol, loved the mongooses, they were up to their shenanigans trying to break out. It's well worth the money, check it out.

Perfect place for a family day out. Lovely collection of healthy looking animals all being kept in appropriate enclosures. The bird show was particularly good as it gave a real sense of how much time the keepers had spent with the birds.
