Roys of Bowthorpe

I have been going to this store since 1996, ( nearly 27 years). Can find some unique items and competitive prices. Staff is always friendly and helpful.

I love Roys. It’s part of the fabric of Norfolk. You can get everything you need at a good price and much of it is local and artisan so it’s not a clone of all the other supermarkets. Their baked products are fresh. Their fruit and veg can be wonky at times, but gloriously seasonal as it’s fresh from the county. They have local seafood and a good choice of unbranded clothes, shoes, electrical, DIY, craft, festive, motoring, and all that older folk remember from Woolworths. They have a welcoming coffee shop. Parking is easy and the staff are friendly. Leave the 21st century outside. This is warm, traditional and perfect.

Not a regular user of this place, just Pop in a we were passing, was like a small town within a town. Good sized and well stocked Roy's together with a number of smaller shops. Picturesque free car park, toilet facilities too.

I love Roy's but why does it always smell like b.o at the entrance? 🤔

Our local supermarket and we love it. All the products are reasonably priced and there is a huge range of locally sourced fresh produce, meat, seafood, beer and more. There is also clothes and homeware, gardening, as well as a DIY section, a great all round store and the staff are always so friendly.

I love Roy's, The staff were very friendly and helpful when I needed help and there's some really great bargains if you know what your looking for. Becoming a regular shop for me 👍

I absolutely love this shop. It's the heart of the bowthorpe community, the staff are just lovely and they sell everything you could ever need, without needing to get in the car and drive to an out of town retail area. Thank you Roy's, please never shut down.

Huge range of goods and food.
The staff are excellent. Polite, friendly and always helpful.

This is somewhere I should shop at more often. It's well stocked and generally I can find pretty much everything on my shopping list. Yes, I use a list. It is the best way to shop. The staff are always helpful. I particularly like the loose veg area. I can select my own veg and not have a load of plastic to get rid of.

The other area I like is the frozen food area. The frozen fresh fish is terrific.

In the spring and summer the outside garden area is always full of interesting plants at good prices.

So, you get the idea. A good place to shop.

I like this place. They sell fresh vegetables, often from local farms. I like the fact that they make it a point to highlight local produce, at least some of the time. I think they should have more fish, like salmon and cod. Lot of meat, but less variety of fish.

Absolutely brilliant service, clean, tidy shop, very impressed as first time here, wide selection of plants.

Very friendly and helpful staff plus management. Store well laid out, selling plants outside entrance of the store. Garden section inside and area outside the store. Good value for all products and sometimes they have special offers.
DIY section is small but the clothes section has good selection at low prices. They have their butchers that work in a different area to main store. Bakery, good selection, they have their own bakery away from the store. Lemon meringue pie, wow plus most of their sweet bakery products are excellent. Wine and beer section is good.
No in house cafe, but opposite they have a very good snack eating place. Worth a visit and you will be in for a surprise.

A very pleasant shopping experience. Friendly staff. Supermarket with good mix of products.
