A great little micropub, with very friendly locals, great selection of ales, ciders etc.

If you're looking for a cosy and very sociable atmosphere, with a great selection of specialist cask beers (frequently changed) , lagers, ciders, wines & spirits without rip-off prices , this is the place. Dave and Luisa the proprietors are so friendly as are the clientele. Interesting back room with walls displaying local artists original works which can be purchased. I've bought quite a few! Dog friendly. Highly recommended.

Friendly, intimate, peaceful but most of all Excellent quality beers from the UK and around Europe no Carling, Foster's, Guinness here. Dave the owner very knowledgeable on his draft and keg beers plus a very good selection of bottled and canned beers from independent brewers. No food served here which is good.

What a great little pub off the beaten track. We needed a place to hang out while we did our laundry next door. This place had a great choice of beers. Bar area is small (and crowded) but the side room hit the spot. Would definitely revisit next time in Chester.

Dave has created a fantastic bar with a lovely atmosphere and warm welcome. The selection of beers is wonderful with a choice of local and national on offer. I recommend the walk out of town to Garden Lane to enjoy this little gem.

Fantastic little family run pub in the heart of Chester's Garden Quarter. Great selection of local and specialist beers, lagers and ciders. Friendly atmosphere and super bar staff. It may be small, but it's perfectly formed.

Such a good pub! Been going here throughout my time at university and had some great chats , making good memories over incredible bespoke ales and ciders! Dave is a top guy and will look after you really well. The prices are the best I’ve found in Chester too!!!

Great little place. Good beer selection, pleasant owners, lovely atmosphere, its got a real homely/ local pub feeling about it. The kind of stablishment someone needs to show you.

I came to see my daughter at Uni in her first year and was directed towards this establishment by another pub. What a godsend, seriously the beer on draught was Verdant Bloom at 6.5%, bloody marvelous. The staff were welcoming and informative saying try this, try this, the locals took the mick of our Hartlepool roots which is always nice, barriers broken down etc. I would say to anyone try this place at least once. I class it as my new Chester local, long live and prosper. You'll see me next time I come to see my daughter. Bravo......

A lovely intimate community bar with a great selection of beer, ales and cider on tap. This place has a great atmosphere and decor and I'll definitely be going back again.

I only called in for a couple as my workmate lives around the corner. Had a great time. The place is small and quirky with a great choice of beer. Shame that I have work tomorrow :(

Great pub, well worth seeking out from Chester city centre. Excellent choice of beers, friendly clientele and a knowledgeable and amiable host.

Superb range of cask and keg from some of the UK's top breweries. Great can range too. All that and a welcoming staff.
