Wheatsheaf Inn (Hotel)

Called in for a Sunday roast recently and it was by far one of the best I’ve had for a long time. Great portion size, everything on my plate was delicious, staff were lovely and over all a great atmosphere! Highly recommend and I’ll be back soon!

Pete and I popped out for a cheeky Sunday lunch. Staff were fabulous and very polite and genuinely caring. The food as always was just amazing. Pete had a Pork Roast which you could tell was mightily delicious (was there a pattern on the plate when he started?!!!!)& I had fish and triple cooked chips. Wow! Too much for me, but I did my best!

We visited for an over night stay and a team meal in their private dining room for the New Year. Great location with very comfortable rooms in a beautiful village. Really fantastic food great seasonal choices exceptional steaks. Pub and restaurant great food and service top class. Thanks a million Wheatsheaf Inn and Mark well done.

We had an excellent relaxed lunch here. Neither service nor the food could be faulted. Highly recommended also for the rustic ambience.

We went for Sunday lunch with 3 infants and they were more than accommodating, putting us in a private room so we could relax. The food was absolutely wonderful as well!

We had a wonderful stay at The Wheatsheaf Inn. We were upgraded for our anniversary and the room was beautiful. We had dinner at the hotel too and we really enjoyed the food and the service throughout the stay was excellent. The host in particular was wonderfully welcoming and helped to make our stay as special as it was. We would definitely recommend the Wheatsheaf and we hope to return soon.

We had a very lovely stay here for a few days in late January - everyone at the wheatsheaf was very kind and welcoming, the rooms were excellent and we enjoyed ourselves greatly. We’ll certainly come again!

I highly recommended the Wheatsheaf. The staff are all excellent, the atmosphere is warm, the restaurant and rooms are luxurious in an unpretentious way.

We stayed two nights and ate in the restaurant both evenings.

Sunday Roast was amazing! Big portions and they offer kids roasts too which was fantastic. Fantastic flavour and puddings were excellent as was the wine. Staff were very friendly and told us about the teacher portraits on the wall. Thanks so much guys. We will be back!

We are never disappointed when we eat here. The food and presentation is first class. The service is impeccable and it gives you a real "feel good" feeling. In the summer one can eat outside in beautiful covered gardens. This place is a must if you are in the Cotswolds and you can stay the night too.

Great hotel/restaurant in a lovely village. The food was great and the service was impeccable. We stayed in a cosy room which had everything you would normally need. I would not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone looking for somewhere to stay whilst exploring the Cotswolds.

Beautiful gastro pub with outstanding food and creatively decorated, comfortable rooms. Sumptuous breakfast with high quality ingredients. Stay here on your next Oxford stay or on the way through the Cotswolds; the Pan Fried Gilthead Bream served on top of potatoes Daphinoise in a delicious bisque is worth a detour.

Went for lunch, with family and a small dog, because they are allowed.
Parking at the back for about ten cars, or 5 minutes walk from centre of the village.

The place is beautifully kept and decorated, and gas a few "areas": outdoor garden, outdoor covered area with heaters and blankets, a private dining room and the pub itself.

Cozy and elegant, with leather sofas and fireplace, is the perfect village pub.

I ate two starters (prawns and souffle) and the BEST pudfing I have ate in years: pear and blackberry with warm custard.

100% recommended.
