It is hard to find the words to express how grateful I am to Boswell’s for their superbly professional and very caring service in organising my late sister’s funeral. They made the whole process so much easier than I had at first feared, the staff were all so kind and understanding, communications were excellent (I live far away from Kidlington), and they made really helpful recommendations for every element. There were some very stressful issues to face in planning the funeral, and at every moment I felt that the staff and director at Boswell’s had my back - which made such a difference. We had a long wait for the funeral, but I felt confident that Boswell’s were treating my sister’s remain with the utmost respect. And on the day of the funeral itself, everything was done so perfectly and beautifully, it was a huge comfort to me that my sister had such a very fitting farewell. She would definitely have approved, and I recommend Boswell’s most highly.

I lost my father in November which was understandably a sad and upsetting time for our family. We as a family knew Carl and met with him to discuss all funeral arrangements. Immediately we felt supported, listened to and nothing was too much trouble. Carl and Kerstie made it as straight forward as it could be at this emotional and difficult time. Carl was organized, compassionate and respectful, he listened to what we wanted. The professional and experienced service shone through from Carl and his team from the very start, communication was excellent. On the actual day of dads funeral Carl took the lead which we appreciated, he had thought of everything in fine detail. Thank you Carl for the little Irish crosses that you added to dads coffin, I noticed them straight away and this was such a lovely caring thought for a truly amazing father. Thank you to you and your team, I (we) cannot thank you enough.

We can't thank Sara and the rest of the team enough, for looking after my mum until her last minute with them.
We felt like my mum was very well looked after in their care and everything we so smoothly, they were able to take so much of the stress out of this process.

Nothing was too much trouble, and everything was sorted with compassion, grace and empathy. Their communication was excellent.

I would like to thank C.S. Boswell for conducting my dads funeral on 16th February 2017 with such attention to detail.

Everything was handled with the upmost professionalism by Carl and his team. It was a particularly stressful time and trying to incorporate Scottish/Thai service to please all members of the family and I was glad that Carl was there with all the advice from the minute we walked into the office until payment.

We were demanding but Carl and his team were like angels and nothing was to much trouble and even stayed late for us.

Everything was handled with compassion and understanding and the process was thoroughly explained. I would also like to express my thanks to the other members of staff who accompanied Carl on the day of the funeral.

The whole service was a credit to your company and it went off effortless. My dad would of been so proud and I know he was there with a smile 😊

It is very hard to know where to begin with CS Boswell and Carl and Kirsty - I guess the proof of the pudding is whether I would want them to attend to me and my funeral and the answer would have to be yes I would.
From the very beginning and collecting mum from our house in a lovely estate car, designed for coffins, rather than the Private Ambulance van to the final part of the Crematorium their attention to detail was outstanding. They make you believe that you are their only customers - it is (as it should be) very personal, very kind, very touching - full of respect for our mother and ensuring that every little details is taken care of.
If you want a funeral director to release you from the pain and your broken heart and to guide you through this extremely sad time then I would say use CS Boswell's - we could not fault them.

Planning a funeral for a loved one is heartbreaking, but Carl and Michelle made were able to take so much of the stress out of this process. I'm not going to lie, I'm lucky enough not to need Carl and team for a personal family loss, but have attended funerals in Carl and teams care. My siblings know, that if i was to pass before my parents, that they go to no one else to take care of my parents but Carl and team. So very professional. Boswell were incredibly caring and professional when it came to arranging my father’s funeral, and accommodated my family in every way they could; from providing guidance on taking the service, to choosing the appropriate crematorium, no request was too big or small. I praise them especially for their tact and efforts during the COVID-19 crisis - they handled the shifting landscape of regulations brilliantly, and ensured there were no compromises in our last goodbye.

I am very thankful to all the staff at C.S Boswell Funeral Service of Summertown and Kidlington, Oxford for their courtesy, professionalism and compassion when my late husband passed away in December 2020. I liaised mostly with Joy from the Summertown office who is wonderful and also with Carl but all the staff were wonderful and helped me arrange his funeral for December 30th.
