Found this place by chance. Stopped for a cheeky pint and some peanuts. Lovely village location. Good selection of cider. Friendly staff and locals 👍

Beautiful village pub that was lovely and cosy inside with good seating outside too. The staff were incredibly friendly even offering a free drink to one of our group when they knocked theirs over. The food was delicious, and especially the scampi which was so juicy - the best I've had!

As standard I was on a workcation.
After a long day working we came into the pub and was greeted with smiles and chatty atmosphere from the staff.

The rooms were really nice, super comfortable beds (a little to comfortable if you know what I mean)
Well laid out and presented.

We also had dinner here which had a lovely simple menu and a fantastic specials board (when I say simple I mean some of the classic favourites you would expect) (when I say fantastic I mean you must not forget to take a peek you might be missing out)

Luckily for us the weather was nice so we ate outside when the food arrived it was well presented and exceptionally tasty (the pork belly was sublime and melted so easily in my mouth)
By the time the staff came over to check how the meal was going the plate was empty because that is how good it was

Ale!!! Try the otter Ale nothing more I can say on that one.

I wish I got the names of the staff to give them a shout out as they were fantastic and could tell well liked by everyone that was staying at the pub and just eating there.

Because I was working I didn’t have much time to look at things to do but the scenery in the local area is something that every country vacation needs.

400% would stay here again

Really good traditional country pub, good selection of food and drinks. Friendly staff plenty of seating inside and out.
Above all it was great to visit a pub not kowtowing to the loud progressive few, still has lots of historical artefacts on display
indicative of a real country pub.
Long may it continue.
We will be back.

Visited the restaurant twice in the same week. Amazing hearty homemade food, extremely good value for the price. The menu changes throughout the week with some home favourites and beautiful fish dishes. Desserts are amazing, especially their homemade bread and butter pudding. Staff are extremely welcoming and attentive yet giving you space. Would highly recommend.
Booking in advance is highly recommended as they are often fully booked.

Very cosy and warm atmosphere, with good selection of drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. Very welcoming and room was tidy and very spacious. The little touches such as a glass jar for fresh milk for hot drinks, allowing dogs in the bar, and the welcome booklet upon arrival is much appreciated. Would definitely recommend

I say what I like and I like what I say!

On vacation and made a reservation for a sunday lunch. An excellent establishment with an older/retired clientele there. Greetings/drinks/lunch/service and liveried staff all five star. We ate in the bar area as we have a small dog with us, tables and chairs are spaced well. Toilet facilities excellent and clean. All in all a fantastic pub considering it is over five hundred years in places!

I booked rooms at The Half Moon Inn last minute to beat Storm Eunice before our local holiday cottage stay. Reception was friendly, warm & welcoming from my first phone call. Everyone was so helpful & accommodating for our daughter, son in law & their baby & our dogs. Our large rooms were warm, dated but not tired, good showers - new owners so we hear plans are in store.
Great breakfast to start our day - local produce. We enjoyed our stay so much we returned for Sunday lunch - home roasts, perfectly cooked veg & home made puddings.

Portions are smaller now but the food is still 10/10. Good variety of ales, beers, ciders on tap and the staff are wonderful. Always friendly and helpful, certainly a highly recommended pub.

We had a wonderful experience here, from the welcome as we walked in to the Time we left. This cosy village pub is full of charm. The staff were friendly and the service was excellent.
We had a Sunday roast and it was beautiful, so good that we had to come back for another meal in the week, and yet again we were not let down .
I Highly recommend that if you are in the area that you pop in and hopefully have the same experience.
A big thank you to all at the Half Moon and look forward to coming back in the Future. I wish you all the best.

The food was excellent the beer was really good the service was faultless, the hospitality of the landlord and landlady was second to none. Its a pity the pub isn't in Bristol where I live, I would be in there most nights.
