We had a wonderful archery session with Lee, he is incredibly knowledgeable and very patient. This was far more than a visit to an archery range and we learnt so much more. We would absolutely recommend Arms of Old Archery and will definitely be returning. A fabulous experience for all the family.

We had an interest in it and I never use a bow and arrow before but when Lee had shown us the technique of using it. It was fantastic! Took the trip from Penzance for a three hour coaching session with Lee and Hazel and I would strongly recommend that anyone starting out starts here. You will get honest invaluable advice in regards to selecting your equipment and coaching that will instantly improve your skills and stand you in good stead as you progress. My husband, Glynn and I thoroughly enjoyed an afternoons archery tuition from Lee recently. We found him to be extremely professional, knowledgeable, enthusiastic and inspirational in the art of archery. We learned so much and have been inspired to look into joining an archery club. Sadly, we don’t live locally, otherwise we would have signed up for more lessons at Arms of Old.

The very best archery coaching that I've ever had
It was great for young (10) and old (64). The instructor certainly knew his stuff and educated us who had far less skill. As a result we both were firing arrows very well before the end of the first lesson.

Brilliant. Took my 12 yr old daughter out for a lesson and it started out with a talk on the history of various archery forms and safety. We then had around 2 hours of lessons and my daughters shooting improved alot. As my daughter only has a cheapy armex 20 quid bow, we were up for purchasing something better. Lee is so genuine that he didnt try to sell the most expensive bow, but was more concerned about getting the correct setup in her hands rather than making loads of money on a big sale and trying to reduce our costs while still maintaining a good setup. After we got home our daughter started practicing what she was taught and improved again within 30 minuits explaining to me why the odd shot went off course and what lee and hazel taught her. Forget big superstores cheap products, go and talk to lee and hazel and for only a few pennies more will set you up with a quality setup that wont disapointThis is a brilliant place for young or old in a lovely setting with easy flat access and will be returning back in 2 or 3 weeks. Oh, and they make a brilliant cup of tea as well.

Amazing people! Never done archery before besides from the usual 30 minute centreparks activities and this was on another level! The teacher was so clearly passionate about the sport. They made us coffee and gave us lots of individual coaching making the experience very relaxed and welcoming. The group was small so we got lots of shooting time each, and tried out different types of bows. They were so friendly and Its safe to say I'm hooked on archery now... Definitely going to take part in their course later this year and hope to take the sport further.

Had the most amazing time at arms of old. I done archery when I was a kid and my father done it when he was younger. Loved that it was a small group. Definitely coming to do a course and more fun. Thanks for the lesson it was really fun. Thank you Lee and Hazel.

It may seem like there's a lot to take in to begin with but these guys really do care that you have the best time possible.

We had such a great day today. Myself and my 8 Year old daughter learnt so much while having a lot of fun. My daughter went to bed talking about long bows and how she wants to try them all out!

Literally can't big this place up enough. If you want passionate and attentive archery tutition then look no further. The site is beautiful and well kept, and the pricing is incredibly reasonable, lee and hazel are both very positive and encouraging. It was our first time ever shooting with a bow and arrow and we both left having hit the bullseye more than once! :)

Really good experience with this archery shop and training venue. The guy who runs it is very knowledgeable and has a love of archery as well as a good solid way of tuition. I would definitely recommend visiting.
