Beautifully converted Victorian fort run by Landmark Trust. Superb sea views from the terraces on the south and east sides, from where you can watch shipping coming in and out of Milford Haven and Pembroke Dock.
Small windows mean few views from inside, but it's an excellent spot for walks along the coast path and around the Dale peninsula.

Even if you just do it once. Spend Christmas here. We did and loved it. Might take a year to recover financially but the memories will last a lifetime.

It was a lovely sunny day when we walked here from Dale. Beautiful view of the main entrance to the Cleddau estuary. Good place to watch boats.

Stayed in the fort as a group via Landmark Trust. Such great fun to explore the Blockhouse itself, from the basement to the rooftop, and then the outbuildings, abandoned gunnery positions and so on. Perfectly situated for views across the Milford Haven estuary and Bristol Channel. Great coastal walks. Tip: it's on a busy shipping lane so install a vessel finder app on your phone before you come. Stop by nearby Dale Post Office & General Store for supplies.

The Welsh coastline and architecture from neolithic to modern provides any visitor, especially walkers and riders, endless possibilities. Scenically one of Europe's greatest treasures.

Arrived in a storm - fantastic place - waves breaking over the roof. Inside warm and comfy. Well done Landmark Trust.

Excellent location to view the Milford haven estuary and one of the closest point to see the massive oil tankers and gas tankers
