Noticed it by chance when traveling to Street and popped back for dinner.
The inside of the pub is warm and welcoming and set over two levels with great views from the lower floor.
The food was exceptional. My braised beef, horseradish mash and honey glazed veg was lovely. The size of their signature burger which my partner had was amazing!
Portions were big and the food was good quality home cooking at it's best. Prices very reasonable too.
Will definitely be back as soon as we visit Somerset again.

Highly recommend this lovely public house. Absolutely excellent food - outstanding actually… friendly staff … two floors + outside area with great views towards the Mendip Hills. Plenty of off road parking with disability access throughout - lower floor appears to have disabled toilets. Spotlessly clean …slightly limited opening hours so give a ring to check and I strongly recommend you book a table! Locally sourced meat and fish which is always appreciated…highly recommend the burgers!!!!

Absolutely fantastic meal. Nice small menu, with food executed to exceptionally high standards. Quite possibly one of, if not best burgers I've had and the home-made ice cream was fantastic and had some genuine taste and flavour to it. Would recommend and a blessing and a curse I don't live more local as I would go back in heartbeat.

What an amazing place to eat!
Me and my misses came here out of the blue because we were looking for somewhere new to eat and stumbled across the pig and wheel. It's always a quiet place so we were willing to give it a try.

Let's just say we are most certainly visiting again!

Start off with amazing customer service. The staff were always smiling making sure we were having a warm welcome. The staff looked like they loved to work there.

Absolutely incredible!
I ordered the P&W signature burger and my misses ordered the katsu chicken burger and we were absolutely amazed at the quality. As you can see in the photos the burgers were a great portion size. They were incredible. As for the chips.... HOLY MOLY they were the best chips I've ever had in my 19 years of existence, slightly battered and they just melt in your mouth.

Special mention. This is a special mention to the owners husband, it is currently rememberance Sunday and some customers were having a rough time and out of nowhere the owners husband went over to them and sat down to comfort him and made him feel better. Such an uncommon sight to see now a days but it was so nice to see so great job!

We will definitely be coming back. Thankyou all for an amazing time

Booked for a table for two for our second time visiting the pig and wheel.
First time we visited we was incredibly happy with the experience whilst we was there but tonight, it was even better. Friendly atmosphere and great service from the staff and the host/manager. Incredible food! Highly recommend the P & W signature burger! Stacked high, what a proper burger should be! Can’t wait to come back again!

Absolutely beautiful place! The breakfast was amazing! The owner was so friendly and genuine, we couldn’t have been made to feel more welcome. The pig and wheel was spotless with everything you need for a comfortable stay. We felt it was such a shame we hadn’t booked for two nights as we were so tired we went straight to bed. The atmosphere in the bar when we got there was fab and friendly, gutted we didn’t have the energy to go back down and enjoy it. Absolutely beautiful views that stretched for miles. Such a beautiful find. We shall look no further when we visit nestling areas! 10/10 five stars :)

Went to the Olive Mill for Sunday lunch with my sister, we had never been here before but it was on the way back to mine after a weekend visit. We were not disappointed! Great selection of meats and my sister loved the nut roast option. The selection of roast potatoes, roast beetroot, mixed roast med veg and cauliflower cheese to accompany traditional veg...my plate was clean! The staff were great and the owner was attentive. Thank you very much Olive Mill!

Brilliant meal , good service and excellent views I love the place and so did the other dinners. I had the gammon and it was superb, however I saw the house burger and wow it looked amazing. I will be going back soon to try it. This is by far the best place I have been in a long time I swear you will enjoy.

Everything was perfect: room, restaurant very clean. All staff very friendly. The food was amazing. The size of the breakfast is bigger than what normallyyou get for a full english. The owner very funny and friendly person. On top of all this, very cheap accommodation and an amazing view.

Lovely restaurant.Great carvery £15.50 for 2 courses, 3 meat choices or have all 3 lovely potatoes and great choice of fresh veg. Staff friendly and the owner came over to see if we were all ok, lovely space around the table so you're not all squished in. Kids were made to feel welcome and their meal was cheaper again. We went as 13 people for my dad's birthday, they hid the cake and brought it out when we have the nod singing happy birthday which was a really nice touch. We will return. Lovely friendly family restaurant

Absolutely outstanding as soon as I walked through the door it fell absolutely amazing The owner was a whole new level absolutely had me in Laughter And the food well 10 stars we will be going back next week and forever more I don't drink however some of the ciders oh my God amazing 😀 😁💯 👌

Me and my partner went here for a meal yesterday. We were greeted by a young who instantly made you feel welcome and relaxed. The same pattern continued through the nights, the servers were also polite and so helpful. We were luckily enough to see the owner of the restaurant who went above and beyond to make sure we had a great evening. A lovely, friendly, funny guy who made you feel at home in his restaurant. Then the food came out which was amazing. Perfectly cooked chicken that feel apart. Full of flavours as it was perfectly seasoned. Home made chips that were to die for followed up with a lovely fresh salad. One of th best meals I have had in a very long time. The price was very reasonable and for the quality of food maybe even cheap. Will be returning and would suggest this place to everyone

Lovely meal, generous portions and great service.

Lovely friendly staff. Food perfect. Views brilliant, despite the misty rain. Most tables under cover, some with heating. Wind at the front of the building, sheltered around the back. A very enjoyable supper out. Will definitely visit again. Enjoyed watching the bluetits flying around feeding their babies in a very unusual "bird box".

We recently visited this beautiful place whilst on our staycation in Somerset. The food was absolutely amazing! and is all homemade and made from fresh and local produce!! The staff were all very welcoming and very down to earth. It is DOG FRIENDLY upstairs and terrace for amazing views! I really would recommend this place.

Booked a table for 8 of us and a toddler to celebrate my mums 90th birthday.
We all opted for the Sunday lunch with one exception, my son had the signature P&W burger.
The food was plentiful and absolutely delicious,
my compliments to the chef, served fantastically by our two servers, the young lady and the young man were a credit to the pig & wheel.
Clean relaxing dining area, lovely big tables which not all establishments offer.
Will 100% be returning to enjoy some more quality food.

Went to the pig and wheel for a Xmas meal with a group of friends. Food was fabulous, all home cooked with local ingredients, even the ice cream was home made. Been here a few times over the last few years and will definitely be back. Owner is a lovely down to earth guy who makes all feel welcome. Thankyou
