Small property, with assorted gardens, each individually designed. A good place to while away an hour or two.

Wow, what a stunning garden, now in my top 5 National Trust garden's!
It's only small but is packed full of amazing plants! It's so well maintained, and all looks immaculate! You can have a short visit or take time just to relax and enjoy. It's a peaceful nature.
There's a small cafe selling a small selection of cakes, crises, sandwiches and hot drinks.

Lovely afternoon visiting Tintinhull Gardens. Really nice staff in reception. The gardens are small compared to other National Trust properties bit still a really nice place to have a short stroll or sit and watch the world go around.
Lots of beautiful flowers to be seen and the kitchen garden was full of yummy looking food. It was slightly challenging with a pram I places but managed to see every thing on offer.

Couldn't enter the house as a roof repairs are currently in progress. They are spending millions on it, which will take some years, they say. However, the gardens are stunning. We loved our visit.

Absolutely beautiful. Only small gardens but lots of little paths taking you to different areas and views. Lovely sunny spots and shady spots and places to sit and admire the plants.

I had a stroll around this lovely garden today. My elderly father-in-law could manage with his stroller. It is a smallish garden, well worth a visit. A special place.

We visit regularly and find delight in the garden and woodland each time. The meadow and orchard are adding to the experience now the area is maturing. There is always something admire, emulate or simply appreciate.

An air of calm and tranquility surrounds you even as you park your car at NT's Tintinhull Gardens. A short walk alongside an ancient orchard with meadow flowers and grasses, mistletoe draped apple and medlar trees. Entering the cafe courtyard you are welcomed by NT volunteers and can choose to immediately have a refreshing beverage or idle in the local museum or wander through to the gardens. A selection of rooms are surrounded by orchard, arboretum and vegetable garden. Wandering back and forward in the different areas soothes the soul. Not really for an all day visit and lacking interest for smaller children but to while away some inspiring hours it cannot be beaten.

Tintinhull House and Garden is a National Trust property tucked away in the village of the same name. Its small but dedicated team of gardeners has rescued the kitchen garden from being almost completely overgrown during the 2020-21 lockdowns, and the rest of the beautiful Garden is benefiting from an incredible amount of tender loving care.
The House is available as a roomy, self-catering let including sleeping accommodation for 6-8 people, a fridge-freezer, Aga, and microwave oven. It also has generally good Wi-Fi in the kitchen and dining room (but not the stone-walled lounge). It doesn't have a downstairs WC and being a very old building nor does it have any kind of lifts available.
Please note that the House is normally booked up months in advance and this is not surprising given the beauty and peacefulness of the location. The worst disturbance you're likely to hear is the lowing of cattle on a nearby farm and perhaps the sound of the bedding being collected during the wee hours for laundering.
The Garden is the real star of the show for most visitors, and offers enough space, vistas, and insect life to entrance many a visitor. The volunteers and staff are friendly and capable, and there are plants on sale for suggested donations. Sadly, the pre-2020 cafe is no more. All in all, though I highly recommend this truly beautiful property for a relaxing visit.

I thought the gardens were very well tended, people have put in a lot of work to show them at their best. Very peaceful.
