The Lamb Inn

Some friends of ours stayed here recently and said their room was exceptional. We met them for dinner and yes, this pub is a must visit for Burford. Great service, fabulous food and the pub itself is gorgeous. Definitely check it out.

lovely hotel, character pub with log fires and great food. If staying upstairs watch your head on the low beams. A short walk into Burford which has lots of pubs for such a small town. Would definitely stay again.

We went for a lunch to celebrate a birthday, just before Christmas. Not many people in the restaurant, just one other couple. The food was lovely. The building is very old and has lots of charm.

A delightful night's stay.
Dinner was exceptional and the reasonably priced bottle of red, delicious.
The staff were very welcoming, accommodating and friendly.
Breakfast came with plenty of options and was good.
The room was comfortable but a little on the tired side, especially the shower room.
I would be very happy to return.

We stayed for a 2 night break with our pup and had a fantastic time. The rooms are clean and cosy, the location is perfect for exploring the Cotswolds and the food is superb. The staff were very friendly and the service was great.
My only recommendation would be to have some quiet, soft background music in the bar/common areas, as we felt it would have elevated the atmosphere- where at times we felt we had to whisper to each other at dinner.

Came here with my partner and had some of the best food we have ever had, We had the hummus and babaganoush, the English pea ravioli, and the stone bass and fricassée. The food was delicious and had clearly had a lot of thought put into it, it was all cooked beautifully and tasted amazing. The staff were amazing and attentive and were so polite. Would defiantly go here again as we had such a wonderful experience.

A fantastic pub in Burford, thankfully away from the high street.
Stopped here for lunch and a beer. The club sandwich was awesome and HUUGE. Chips were also gorgeous.
I highly recommend if you're in the area.

Stopped in for a warm drink on the soaking wet Coronation day Saturday. The bar, restaurant and lounge areas were wonderfully all Cotswold traditional. We visited the large garden area but rain prevented it's use. It was however large and so well furnished and set inside a private walled area The food we had was excellent and the bar had excellent Fullers ales. The staff were everywhere and very attentive.

My, not so secret, hide away place. Delicious food and excellent choice of drinks. Lovely staff. One the best.

Me and my partner had a two night stay at The Lamb Inn and it was wonderful.

Despite there not being a car park we had no trouble parking and had the option of parking in their sister hotel next door. We stayed in the Rosie room which was very nicely decorated, cosy and clean. Adjoining this room was a lovely private garden. It's just a short walk to the main shops.

The food (breakfast and dinner) was amazing and the staff were lovely.

Amazing food at the Lamb and dog friendly. They even brought out a little pouch of dog treats which was really appreciated. Great service and top tier food, will definitely be back.

The food and service were fantastic! We had the chicken breast with confit leg bon bon and long stem brocoli with red wine jus and a side of chips. Everything was cooked to perfection, all ingredients absolutely fresh. I highly recommend stopping to have some food and drinks here. The interiors and garden are also very nice.

Visited for dinner. Cannot fault the food at all. Fantastic Venison. Partner had the Ribeye which was cooked perfectly and full of flavour. Excellent plate presentation, friendly staff. A little quiet when we visited, but we did have to sit in the bar as we had a dog. Worth a visit for sure.

Lovely restaurant and bar just off the High Street in Burford. The bar areas are very comfy and cozy. The restaurant is elegant and welcoming. Food and service are always great. I haven't stayed overnight so can't comment on the hotel rooms

We had a one-night break at the Lamb recently and it was really wonderful. Beautiful room and bathroom but most of all the food. Whoever is in the kitchen is an exceptional cook as we couldn't fault either dinner or breakfast. Staff are lovely and friendly too without being over attentive. Highly recommended.

Only had lunch here, in the cottage garden which was lovely. Tables were well spread out and chairs comfortable. Service was very pleasant but when it came ordering there was little flexibility on making a starter a main. As it happened the starter was a good sized portion -ceasar salad with both chicken and anchovies. Instead of a lengthy discussion the waitress should have had more confidence in knowing that the portion size was a good one. The only option we were given was to order 2 of the same starter each in order to make it into a 'main'. In the end we opted for one starter each with the option of ordering another if necessary.
All that said it was a lovely lunch which later included the milk chocolate parfait with raspberry sorbet, honeycomb and shards of chocolate. It looked like a smallish portion but as it was quite rich, it was again a perfect portion size. I would highly recommend the Lamb and advise you to trust that the Chefs know what they are doing because they clearly do!

Took my mother-in-law here for a cream tea for her birthday. Gorgeous pub, and we basically had a little room to ourselves. The scones were beautiful.

A hotel with a lovely garden in the back, which was a great place to have lunch, despite it not being sunny. We had an amazing goat's cheese starter, a delicious venison bourguignon, and a nice burger
