The Swan Hotel, Bibury

We just stayed 2 nights at the Swan Hotel and are already planning our next trip!
The room (Classic Double) was well decorated and was very warm and cosy.
The staff were very friendly and kind, we had a small problem with the blinds in our room and it was fixed very quickly.
The breakfast was lovely! I had the vegetarian plant based full English breakfast and was very happy. The staff were also happy to make swaps/additions. We just wish we'd planned to have dinner there one evening too.
We went on a short walk around the town and thoroughly enjoyed that. Overall, it was a very relaxed and comfortable stay.

The standard of accommodation here is excellent, our room was spacious and clean. The hotel itself has a luxury feel but the vibe is laid back and welcoming.

The food was great too - we stayed for dinner and breakfast. We were very happy with the quality of the food and service.

The village is quite compact but is charming and picturesque. I would definitely recommend a short stay here.

I recently attended a wedding at The Swan and had a fantastic time. The rooms were incredibly spacious and very clean, though a tad too warm for me. The food was superb—compliments to the chef. The staff behind the bar and those organizing the wedding were exceptional. Special thanks to Rob, James, Valentina, Molly, Flora, Ilya, Maria, Natalia, Julia and many more for their outstanding service. I appreciate everyone else who made the night memorable, even if I didn't catch their names.
Overall, a perfect experience thanks to the cheery and helpful staff. I would certainly recommend the swan hotel to anyone looking to have a wonderful stay in Bibury and its surrounding areas. We had our wedding at The Swan in September 2023. It was a truly wonderful venue, with gorgeous surroundings and the staff were so helpful in making sure my husband and I had nothing more to worry about on the day than enjoying the moment! Special thanks to Molly and Natalia for going above and beyond (including wrangling Solly the ring bearer dog!). Worth noting the food was excellent too - I would highly recommend!

Great romantic place for couples with its marvelous nature! The rooms are good. The staff is very attentive and friendly. The restaurant we preferred for both breakfast and dinner is also successful. The right location to visit Bibury and surrounding towns. We are very pleased.

What an incredible hotel. Our daughter's wedding took place there on Saturday. Brilliant event team, especially Molly and deputy Natalia. Both so kind and helpful with every query. The day and evening went seamlessly. They did everything possible to make the day stress-free. I think they even ordered sunshine for us! Would recommend wholeheartedly.

If you are staying in Bibury, this is the place! We stayed at the Whistling cottage with one year old and she had so much fun climbing the stairs up and down 😅 The staff at the restaurant was very attentive and sweet. They all remembered that my baby had an egg allergy and would inform us any food that may contain egg even without being asked.

We were were a party of 4 adults and 1 child (9 year old) staying for 2 nights (3rd and 4th October 2023) spread out in 3 different rooms. My sister and her husband shared a room, and my other sister had a room of her own. Me and my son shared the Rookery, which is their family room with 2 double bedrooms with queen sized beds, a large bathroom with a tub, and both bedrooms had extra doors leading outside to a lovely view of the back and stairs which joined up. It was lovely place to hang out and very peaceful. The rooms were very clean and the beds extremely comfortable. One of the safes did not work and though the front desk sent someone and they tried to help, we discovered the other safe in the second bedroom and ended up not requiring this one. The bathroom was very nice and clean with luxurious Molton Brown Toiletries with the most amazing scents! The housekeeping services were good and the food in the restaurant downstairs was also very good. Breakfast was included with the room and there was a large assortment of cereals, breads, jams, etc., but the most wonderful items were the freshly baked hot croissants that were coming out of the kitchen! We ate lunch there the first day and that was also very delicious and our plates were clean as a compliment to the chef. There are a lot of tourists in Bibury, but by Kate afternoon/early evening, it is quiet. The hotel is a 1 to 2 minute walk from and right next to the Trout Farm and restaurant which is a must visit and has a lovely little shop for picking up souvenirs. The Twig is a little coffee place about a 5 minute walk from the hotel and then about a 10 minute walk away is the Catherine Wheel, which is a wonderful local pub/restaurant where the pizzas are fantastic. The staff there and the local clientele are very friendly and welcoming! The Swan is a luxury hotel to stay in and a great place to stay and then drive and visit neighbouring towns and villages like Cirencester and Bourton on the Water. I definitely recommend The Swan as a wonderful place to stay at while visiting the Cotswolds.

We had a lovely evening at The Swan. It is one of the most beautiful red creeper clad buildings in the Cotswolds in the autumn, situated beside the pretty River Coln in the stunning old village of Bibury. The restaurant was very pretty and twinkly and we were made very welcome by our super enthusiastic, hard working foreign waitress (apologies I didn't ask her name) who knew a great deal about the dishes on the menu. There was an excellent choice of interesting food and wines on offer and they didn't mind that we just ordered starters and desert rather than main courses too. The chocolate fondant pudding was divine, exactly as our waitress had promised it would be. The complimentary bread and whipped butter was also delicious. Prices and the additional 12.5% service charge were a little steep we felt for what we ate but probably comparable to other similar Cotswolds establishments. We will definitely return next time we are on holiday in the area and hope we have the same lovely waitress.

I've not even stayed there yet even but the service before the stay has been outstanding. I'm taking my whole family there and we are staying in a large "family" room. They've been very proactive about how we want the beds configured and other important details.

Also, we needed to change our dates and were past our cancellation period, but they allowed us to change with no penalty, no hassle, etc.

Very nice establishment to work with. This is rare these days.

Booked a table for a meal with my son and his girlfriend. This place is gorgeous, and the food is delicious. We shared a chateaubriand steak OMG

Had a celebration meal over the bank holiday here and stayed the night. Very good location, service and rooms. Food was excellent. Parking an issue but that’s due to the town being very very busy. Get there early if you want a space!

We was very lucky to have had our wedding here. The location and the village is absolutely beautiful. Our day was just perfect thanks to the wonderful Molly and all the team at the Swan hotel. Everything was well organised and ran so smoothly we didn't have to worry or do a thing. Our guests all enjoyed every moment and would return. Obviously we are returning as much as possible. We did an event here recently with our Photobooth. It really is a beautiful place to for our wedding. With its Cotswold setting and friendly staff. We had a blast!

Ideal place for a relaxing break. Room very clean and welcoming. Great hospitality and friendly service. Natalia a real asset to the Swan and couldn't do more for guests. Megan and Robert looked after us in the restaurant and gave efficient and great service.

We have a lovely meal and would recommend a stay or meal at the Swan.

Only improvement which would make a stay better is a fridge in the room

We have eaten at the Swan Hotel twice now.
The food is amazing, especially the roast.
The chef even made gluten free scones for our daughter and myself and they were the best we have ever tasted.
The staff were fantastic and so polite.
Would eat here again in a flash.
