George Billis Endodontics

I wasn't a patient at the Surgery but needed a second opinion. From the moment I walked into this friendly happy clinic I felt reassured that I would be looked after. 6 days later i had a complex procedure carried out to remove a tooth bonded to my bone. I walked in a nervous wreck , left 45 minutes later . I had no pain whatsoever and now 4 days later everything is healing very nicely. I have now joined the surgery as a patient. Cannot speak highly enough of George and his team.

I try my best to look after my teeth but I am getting to the stage where they give me trouble from time to time. This may be down to my age and/or a dentist in south London who gave me 16 fillings over 2 visits in 1983/4. I now have a good dentist in Crawley but I am still nervous about having dental treatment. A piece fell off one of my teeth recently and my (Crawley) dentist advised me that due to a large filling in the tooth already it would not be possible to refill it. She referred me to Mr Billis for root canal treatment, which was carried out today. It took almost 2 hours to complete and was clearly a complex procedure but once the initial injections had gone in there was no pain. Mr Billis advised me to take Ibuprofen for pain relief but the anaesthetic wore off some time ago now and I have no discomfort. He said he would write to my usual dentist about the work he has done and I will be visiting her in a while where I understand a crown will be fitted. If you are faced with the prospect of losing a tooth and root canal treatment is suggested as an alternative then Mr Billis would be a very good choice to do this work for you.

I had the pleasure of having George treat me for a root canal at the start of January. He is an absolute pro and made me feel at ease during the procedure. His equipment was very advanced and I feel my tooth has a much better chance of a long life due to his work. Thank you George!

I have had a few procedures with George in the past 2 years. This August I had a root canal treatment which was painless during and after. He is so skilled and kind that I highly recommend him.

George was amazing. I was very nervous as I had previously had bad dental experiences. The thing, for me, that set George aside from everyone else, was the fact he listened to my concerns and past issues and he listened to me about how my body reacts to anesthesia and trauma. The work was successfully completed despite other dentists refusing to re root canal the tooth and recommending extraction instead. I also had no bruising and minimal pain, which, was a new experience for me! He has definitely restored my faith and I would highly recommend him.

I have been using this dental practice for around 18 months now. I have rubbish teeth, so have been a few times during that period! From the reception staff, through to George himself the service provided is excellent.

Everyone is friendly, and the dentistry provide by George has been first class. I recently had a root canal treatment (I refer back to my rubbish teeth :)), George clearly explained each step, and although it's a fairly lengthy procedure, I didn't experience any discomfort through the 2 appointments required.

Obviously no one likes going to the dentist, but I'm glad that I've found one who's both friendly and excellent at what they do.

Going to the Dentist is never fun and even less so when you are facing some advanced root canal work that your regular dentist feels ill equipped or skilled to deal with. The team at Gateway make you feel welcome and relaxed from the start. George was calm, relaxed and happy to share his knowledge and skills. Equipped with all the latest technologies we rapidly and painlessly gained an insight into what was causing my problem. We stopped, discussed the situation looking at both high definition pictures and very high quality X-rays and decided to not proceed, but to revise our options. The treatment plan didn’t go as planned but I feel confident that guided so professionally and caringly by George we have made the right decision.

I was very impressed with the modern equipment and procedures used, also the explanation and care taken in respect of the x-rays taken during the treatment to monitor how things were progressing. I was told to expect a long session of treatment and George showed that he was obviously very highly skilled and persevered right through the allotted time.

I have nothing but praise. As a nervous patient, dreading the experience, I can honestly say that my treatment from initial consultation to actual treatment was outstanding.
Mr Billis put me at ease, explained everything clearly and made the entire experience bearable.
I have no hesitation in recommending Mr Billis to anyone needing root canal work.

Fantastic experience! I have been looking for a dentist in the UK for 5 years and always had not a pleasant experience. With Dr. Billis my experience changed completely. Friendly atmosphere (I am scared of any pain), very attentive approach, quick and almost not painful experience. I have just received great treatment from George, very little pain or swelling and fell asleep during the treatment due to his relaxed and confident approach. Would definitely recommend him
