Worth the money! The kids and grown up boys loved their burgers, and my sister in law and I thoroughly enjoyed our Stilton and broccoli quiches with salad and chips. Oh and the Berry crumble was gorgeous too!!!!

A nice pint was had by all, cider and beer, and we sat in the sunny beer garden full of gorgeous red roses and our waitresses were so polite and helpful..

Probably the easiest pub outing I've had with kids in tow!

We will be back soon 😎 😎

It was a fantastic meal after a day on the trains at the Bluebell Railway. Just a few minutes' drive from the trains, we found this delightful pub/restaurant. Our family of 9 ate here, and we all absolutely loved it.

The staff were all incredibly warm and welcoming. The service was swift, the food was beautifully presented and tasted even better!

As it was a special birthday occasion, we had a cake with us that the kitchen staff were more than happy to store, light, and bring out for the birthday boy. It made our evening here extra special, and we left full to the brim after failing to resist the desert menu!

The food was varied, locally-based, and had plenty of vegetarian options. We highly recommend and will certainly be back if we are in the area again.

Really enjoyed lunch here celebrating my Father in Laws 90th birthday. Food was excellent, an interesting and varied menu. Prices are top end for pub food but worth every penny. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would recommend!

Lovely pub. Came here for father's day and sat outside in great garden. Lots of space for kids to run around. Service is a good, and food is fantastic. The scotch egg is one of the best. Lamb roast was very good. Good kids menu. Lovely setting. We will have many returns here.

Great food and well-kept beer. A warm welcome that accommodated our largish group very well. We met the previous landlord in the pub, who is a personal friend of one of our party. Great times.

We popped in for lunch and we had the set lunch 2 course. It was delicious. Excellent service and they care about the food they serve. Very impressive. We particularly enjoyed the fish croquettes and the pressed venison shoulder. Nice selection of beers too.

Second time I've been here. The food is great, as is the wine list. Friendly staff who are on the ball. Large car park. Plus they do Harvey's (best and old). In an area with so many fantastic county pubs this is a cut above most.

Quality pub grub. Had Olives to start with Lamb and mushroom Pie and mash for the main and shared a truffle mac and cheese with the wife. Friendly staff, great service can't fault the place. Hopefully visit again soon!

Fantastic atmosphere, staff are next level. Fantastic establishment with a well sized outside area. Food is A*, and the Gun IPA is something to definitely talk about. Thank you for a great hospitality.

Worth every penny. The most wonderful food and friendliest service. Love visiting the inside in the winter months and enjoying the beautiful garden in the summer. Always a lovely atmosphere and the food is always great. It’s our go-to pub in the area both for family trips with the kids and for grown up meals too.

Beautiful large garden area with shade. Good selection of draught larger. Food served but I only stayed for a drink. Short walk north to a Bluebell Railway crossing just West of Sheffield Park

Called in for a quick and absolutely delicious lunch. Homemade coleslaw, wonderful bread, homemade salad dressing (superb!). Will be back when we have more time to enjoy a full meal.

Possibly the best roast I have ever had…and I’ve had a James Martin restaurant roast. Everything was cooked to perfection, the meal and each component was beautifully balanced. Will absolutely be dining there again!

Excellent value, top notch gastropub cuisine, and exemplary friendly service. We were a party of four on a midweek evening. The pub had a nice atmosphere, and the staff were chatty and knowledgeable about the menu and the specials. Two of us tried a sharing steak with a choice of sauces, which was cooked to our specification perfectly and extremely tasty. Puddings were excellent, too. Highly recommended.

One of the best pub lunch experiences I’ve had in a while. Staff are fab, food was delicious, and we have the added complication of children with allergies and they’d gone through the menu and had all we needed to know before we even arrived. One of my favourite Sussex pubs for sure.

We stopped in this lovely pearl while cycling from London to Brighton. It was lunchtime and we got a couple of shandy beers, some cauliflower with truffle and cheese, and some chips. We settled outside. Awesome location, the staff was friendly, and the food great!

If I could give this place 10/5 I would. I had the most delicious meal I have had in a long time here. The food is out of this world and reasonable too. The staff were beautiful, friendly and very attentive without being over the top. The place has a fabulous atmosphere and is homely. I would strongly recommend a visit here, though you'll need a designated driver if anyone wants to drink.
