The pepper Pot is situated a stones throw from the picturesque village of New Quay. This pub is full of character

The bar and grill offers locally sourced home cooked pub classics with an upmarket feel and taste, along with a specials board updated regularly. Although the classics and standard menu is more than enough to keep you coming back for more, the specials board is where you will find what really sets the Pepper Pot apart from the rest.

We visited whenever we had the chance and tried everything we could.

Firstly, the Sunday dinner, having arrived without a booking, the staff were very accommodating and made room for us between reservations. They were extremely attentive, kind-hearted, and welcoming.

The dinner itself was compact and packed a real punch with everything home made and cooked using fresh and local ingredients. The Lamb was plentiful, juicey, and tender served with a handful of tasty roast potatoes, a large wedge of stuffing, seasonal greens, and a lone roast carrot and pig in blanket. What it lacks in size it more than makes up for in quality and taste.

The Oysters were freshly caught and prepared. They tasted just like the ocean, perfectly pared with tobassco and lemon to break up the flavors mild flavour of the Oysters.

The classic fish and chips.
The cod was cooked with care and attention, the batter golden brown, crispy and fragrant, with the fish soft flakey and mild tasting. The double cooked chips were crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside some of the best fish and chips I've had.

A lovely quiet setting in the heart of the West Wales fishing town of New Quay. Great menu with all local produce. Charlotte and Caitlin did their utmost to provide great hospitality and good service. I highly recommend the Tiger Prawns for starters and their Dark Chocolate brownie for dessert. Both simply scrumptious.
A highly recommended dining experience.

Great little bar and restaurant! Good quality beer and amazing roast dinners! Attentive staff and dog friendly, handy having a well covered outside area for the unpredictable Welsh weather! We had the roast sharing board for two which was amazing the meat cooked perfectly and large portions

We visited hear yesterday put of season.. what a lovely find. My self and my partner shared two sandwiches freshly made to order the club and Cuban all served with chips tasted fresh and just enough to keep you going on your day.we also had an extra plate for my some to share some of our chips. My daughter enjoyed her pizza and fish bites off the tapas menu. She is very fussy and didn't leave a crumb. Their wine was lovely and they have a nice selection on draft. Staff was lovely made to feel welcome and nothing seemed to much trouble. We look forward to visiting again

What a beautiful, cosy restaurant! The food was phenomenal, the service was faultless and we finally found a decent restaurant where we can take our dog with us!

Make sure you book a table as they do get busy.

Thank you for a lovely evening!

Lovely place .. we've never been disappointed with the food at the restaurant and it definitely didn't disappoint me this time .. food was fabulous. Service was even better, and it has a lovely relaxing feel to it whether you are sitting inside or outside .. sorry about the main course it looked a lot more presentable when I had it but couldn't wait to start to eat it then remembered the picture 🙈🤣 .. the pepper pot is definitely worth a visit if you're in or around the New Quay area

If I could give the food here 6 stars I would, it's that good! Warm welcome, very pleasant interior and good friendly customer service. We went for lunch. I had the whole black bream with spinach sides, my wife the veg pie. Both were top class. Booking suggested as very popular. Wouldn't hesitate to return. All in all, very highly recommended.

Second time here for me and many changes but the food remains the same - high quality and tasty.
Still dog friendly.
Still need to book - there was a three day wait for us to get in, okay if you’re there for a week, not if you just pole up - as many people did - seeing empty table must have been frustrating but they were going to be occupied within half an hour. The kitchen had also, very sensibly worked out how many covers they could do in a time frame - and hadn’t over committed. So refreshing to hear this, as there’s often a ‘cram ‘em in, get their money attitude’ - not here.
Venue wise, the outdoor area has been modified both because of COVID but also to provide a more comfortable eating experience in cooler / inclement weather. Heavy duty clear plastic now surrounds the open ‘window’ area and there is a retractable roof. The addition of heaters (IMHO not necessary just yet - September) may be very welcome in colder times ahead.
Great views of the harbour and people watching up and down the street.
Food, we had two from the specials board and one from the main. Average price £13.

We went there for a celebration evening meal. We were not disappointed! A great cozy restaurant, with a good menu for all. Very pleasant people.
We enjoyed our experience so much we returned the following morning for a just fab breakfast. Outside the front beer garden we noted was very pet friendly, and why not. The afternoon and early evening we were lucky to have the warmth of the sun, and a view over the harbour enjoyed by the local Pembrokeshire ale. Happy days.

Ohh where do I start with the garlic mushrooms I guess cooked beat with lovely rustic bread to dip in stilton sauce. Then the belly pork to follow lush is the closest I can get it was awesome. Going to have the apple and blackberry crumble to finish off

Such a little gem. The food was fantastic i suggest if pork is on the menu, you must try. The fried potatoes were like crispy clouds. And the 2 lovely girls serving, were busy but so friendly
