Station Tavern

Modern British Pub feel. Large but cosy with lots of drink options. Food is good too. Fish&Chip and Pork Roast are good. The smoked haddock and clam chowder is a bit too salty to our taste. Great vibe and we had a lovely time chatting away into the night.

Very nice place when you looking for chilled drinks and nice atmosphere. Super cozy place and nice leather chairs. Plenty of place for sitting, but can get very busy in evenings and weekends. Lovely bar staff. And they have really good choice of draught beers.

Absolutely gorgeous venue. Plenty of dishes (really recommend the roasts) and drinks to suit anyone and everyone. Amazing service from all of the bar and floor staff. I come here quite often as it’s close to the station and every time I do visit I always feel well looked after, couldn’t ask for better service. Station tavern is definitely the place to go!!

Big portions, fantastic and friendly service. Great cocktails. Rustled me up a sausage bap not on the menu for me for breakfast, staff couldn't do enough. Would definitely come back!

I came here to have some chilled drinks and a bite to eat. My waitress Kay was very attentive and friendly. She looked after me well and was extremely accommodating! I will be returning often in hopes that Kay is my server once again !

We had a Christmas Lunch which they very kindly allowed us to pre-order. Food was really nicely cooked and presented, and tasted great. Service was attentive and friendly. Only minus was(understandably!) they were very busy and so the food took a while to arrive. Otherwise, top marks!

Visited the Station Tavern with really good friends. We arrived on a busy Christmas Thursday afternoon. We should have booked, but no matter as the brilliant staff went out of their way to find us a great table. The atmosphere is a really lovely mix of modern bar/ traditional pub. We stayed and ate and drank far longer than planned and throughout the staff were exceptional and Melissa who has served on previous visits went above and beyond. All of this topped off with superb Youngs beer and cocktails. We can’t wait to return again.

Went in today to try the Sunday lunch - which is apparently a new concept in which you start off with a little station where you could pick your own nibbles, meats, fishes, soup and breads- which were all great and gave me the choice of what I did or didn't want to pick which was great. There was then a 'sharing roast board' which I haven't seen before but we went for it. I very rarely go out for a roast because I like to think I'm quite the cook myself but hey, it's nice to have someone cook for you once in a while!
I can happily say I am SO pleased I did, myself and a friend shared the roast platter which could probably have fed a small army but was well worth it. There were 3 different meats, each one full of flavour and perfectly moist. The potato's were perfectly crisp on the outside and fluffy inside which is what you want with a roastie.... honestly for me though I think the veggies (and perhaps yorkie - check out the pics) were the star of the show, so much flavour and wonderful textures - move over boiled veg, you're a thing of the past. I think my parents had given me veg like that as a child I might not have been so adverse to them! We also got a dessert each (creme brulee for me) and again it was just perfect and I am not really a desert person. Great atmosphere, lovely staff - why not?! Highly recommended and will be telling all my friends!

Fantastic place for a quick bite and a coffee. Premises is clean. Staff is friendly and very helpful. Coffee is of a good quality served with a smile. Very peaceful and calming relaxing atmosphere. Also due to its location premises have lovely view too.

I've popped in here a couple of times now whilst waiting for the train.
A fabulous and inviting establishment with a mahoosive choice of beverages, it also offers a food menu. Various seating areas and types to choose from, including outdoor seating with sunscreen provided. Ideal for a quiet drink a meal out or with a group of friends. You can pre-book a table, and they are screening the upcoming Rugby World Cup.
I've seen people working away on their laptops here as well as for leisure. They can also accommodate business meetings here.
The facilities are very good and clean with accessible options.
The staff have always been polite, helpful, and knowledgeable. So I had a try of a few new gins and got a later train!!

The food is amazing and staff are great, worth a visit

i came to station tavern just for a quick drink on my way to town. All the staff seemed lovely. Lily made some excellent recommendations so I tried their burger which I highly recommend. 5* - i’ll definitely be going again :)

I occasionally work remotely from Station Tavern and take advantage of their remote work deal (unlimited hot drinks + brunch for £15). Today, our server Cameron went above and beyond with service and proactively looked after us. Usually we have to flag down staff to order more drinks etc and it was great not having to do this while working. Great spot to catch a pre/post train drink in but also a good place to work remotely from with good WiFi and chilled music.

An all-too-brief visit on Friday evening before catching a train - very comfortable seating, great music, good choice of gins, lovely fish and chips, really helpful and efficient server Louis - we’ll be back!

Always pop in when I can, whether for a quick drink or a slower few…. Wine list is great and the cocktails impeccable. Best cocktails in Cambridge - the attention to detail in preparing and serving drinks is second to none! I’ve eaten here a couple of times too and the food always reaches the same high standard. I love the relaxed and and classy atmosphere and the attentive service - nothing is too much of an ask. Will be returning again and again, on my own, with family and friends…

Popped in for a couple of pints while waiting for a train yesterday, The bartender Gareth on shift was extremely knowledgeable about the beers, and the food I saw going out to tables looked, and smelled awesome! The people eating definitely seemed like they were enjoying it! I must come back to try it! But I'm extremely happy I stopped by for a beer that was better than the venue next door!

Lovely place right by the station - I love the cocktails here - especially the passionfruit martini - for food the camembert is also super yummy. Staff are always really friendly and helpful and place has a lovely atmosphere.

Perfect place to stop in before a long train journey. Hearty food, great selection of beers, friendly staff, what’s not to like!

Stuart is so nice. Visited from the United States. Gave us good recommendations and burger bun was so good. Melts in your mouth.

Had a fantastic time celebrating with friends and family our 25th wedding anniversary food delicious service excellent. Very highly recommend
