I first Used Greg in 1983 for my Bob Jackson 531 Pro.
40 years later and still providing an excellent service.

Great service. Very happy as my local friendly repair service had closed and I was gutted about that.
I needed my spokes sorted pretty quickly, other places couldn't fit me in or wanted to charge a fortune. I called up and had my spokes replaced the same day for a very reasonable price. Highly recommend this wonderful old fashioned bike repair shop. Please help keep the local honest businesses stay alive!!!

Greg's is great – he switched out the bottom bracket for me (moved from an old bicycle to a new frame) – it was both cheaper than originally quoted and was ready that same afternoon. I purchased gear and brakes cables from him and all was good quality.

Got a second hand bike along with some accessories. Bike turned out to have an issue with the handlebars. Excellent customer service however, and the part was replaced very quickly.

Took a bike there to get a few issues sorted out. He did everything in a few moments and for very good value. I will go back.

Very friendly, professional service. I came in without an appointment twice now. The first time the back wheel needed replacing, the second time I needed a new brake line for the front brake. Everything was fixed real quick and right as rain (about 2 hours to replace the back wheel and just under half an hour to replace the brake line and install new brake pads) Also, much more reasonable prices than other shops I have visited in the past.

Great honest service, but won't touch electric bikes

Disappointed. I assumed Greg was an expert and gave him faith by bringing my vintage bike to him several times. But he clearly does not pay taxes on anything (only accepts cash) and did each repair without much effort - I found out later by doing things myself that he changed entire bits of the bike that could have just been fixed. He installed a gearbox that had too many gears and refuses to accept that he's culpable for my sloppy gear change.

This was the worst experience I have ever had in a bike shop. The mechanic did not manage to fix the very basic problem I had with my bike (brake repair), refused to admit it and return the money I paid for the failed repair, even after I consulted two other mechanics, who both agreed with me. I still cannot believe that the owner would allow someone on the road with non - functioning brakes just so he does not have to pay the 30 quid back. Luckily, a friendly shop on the other side of the road fixed my problem within 20 minutes for a third of the price. Please, avoid Greg's Cycles at all cost, for the sake of your own safety.

My bike never had a puncture in a year and a half. I gave my bike to Greg to repair the first time I got a puncture and since then it keeps breaking. I confronted him with this but he denied responsibility. Would NOT recommend.

Very poor service. Replace my flat tyre for THREE times and not fixed the problem. Now my tyre was recovered by the shop on the other side of street within 15 minutes. Deeply doubt Greg's Cycle's capability and credibility.

Only went in there because it was close to closing hours and Cycle King was busy. I had two brakes to fixed. He only fixed one. When I came back and confronted him, he refused to fix it. Don't like that cunning man. Avoid. There are fairer bike repair shops.

Do not buy from him, after sales support was terrible! Sold us a bike with a faulty back wheel lock and we asked for his help to work it out (bike was immobile due to lock), but he did not care at all! Poor customer service, took our money and ran.
