Had the privilege of being invited by Maggie's Cancer Centre to listen to a Christmas Musical Concert by Senata ladies Choir St John's College has a beautiful chapel and the acoustics are superb. The readings and songs were most enjoyable and a good start for beginning Christmas festivities. Thoroughly recommend you go and look round or even listen to a musical event. Great to think this place allows the public to go and participate in some of its superb facilities.

Evensong Service at 6.30, everyone is welcome to join. In my opinion, King’s College Choir is more well known but I enjoyed this one more.
Once you are in the College, you are allowed to explore it even if it’s closed to visitors.

I love attending evensongs in this chapel even though I am Catholic. Its small size and well-maintained traditional look really adds to the experience.

King's College Chapel often takes up all the oxygen when people talk about incredible sites in the city centre, but for my money the most sustained interest comes when you take someone through John's. You can walk through and across the Bridge of Sighs, wander around the building nicknamed the Wedding Cake, and then walk back along the Kitchen Bridge. You can also see--but not take photos in--John's own outstanding chapel.

Sadly wasn’t open to the public. Absolutely beautiful even from the outside though.

Constructed between 1866 and 1869 to replace the smaller, mediaeval chapel which dated back to the 13th century. By architect Sir George Gilbert Scott drawing inspirantion from the Church of Saint Chapelle in Paris. The Choir of St John's College has a tradition of religious music and has sung the daily services in the Chapel since the 1670s.

always excellent choral evensong despite college porter insisting you do the 100m walk by path A and not path B - bit childish really
