Children loved their visit to the Cambridge Science Centre. A small place so they didn't find it overwhelming or tiring. It contained lots of science discoveries that allowed children to try out for themselves. Helpful information boards and guided activities too.

The science centre is small but it was perfect for a trip to Cambridge with my 3 year old! He had so much fun! We were pleasantly surprised there was a small car park as well.

Went to the pop-up in the Grand Arcade today. A great selection of hands-on learning scenarios. 5.5 year old son was engrossed in building DNA, piecing together organs in human torso model and other really cool stuff. Staff were friendly and informative. Superb educational resource.

Lovely small site with about 5 free car parking spaces outside. If you do not get one of the free spaces there is pay and display metres on the surrounding roads.
We went bowling beforehand and parked at the multi-storey. Parking there is discounted if your card is validated at one of those venues.
We then took a short work to the Science Museum.
We went with our children both ages under 10 and they both enjoyed it. We spent around 4 hours on there which was enough to fully enjoy all activities on site.
The staff were friendly and passionate and they do interactive talks every few hours on interesting subjects - all the children enjoyed and were very engaged.
The only thing that would have been great is if they sold soft and hot drinks and perhaps some snacks 👌

Great place to spend a few hours with kids. I thought it would take an hour or so but my kids didn't want to leave and we stayed well over 3 hours. We went with a 7 and an 11 year old and there was plenty to keep them both occupied. The staff were amazing, very knowledgeable and helpful.

We went as part of a home education group and found a fantastic warm welcome. The displays are incredibly interactive and catching for children and parents alike. The curators are very approachable and knowledgeable scientists in their own right. Plus the demo and talk captivated the kids for the best part of an hour which is no mean feat. Incredible museum

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Great demonstration/lesson on how astronauts are sent into space and safely returned to Earth. The wind tunnel was great fun and a good challenge too. Our 6 yo learnt alot. Very affordable, £9 for the day ( you can go out and come back) for a family of 3.

Brilliant place to spend an hour or two with kids- great interactive exhibits and some presentations from the staff. Our 2.5yo loves it and can see he will evolve with it for years to come.

Doesn't look like much from the outside but the curious kids will have plenty to occupy them for a few hours. There are even group talks for them to attend giving the adults a little bit of playtime! Only one or two exhibits weren't working. Unfortunately, I'd say this is a one-hit-wonder place. We most likely won't go back.

Excellent way for kids to explore science in all it's forms. Best bit is definitely the live interactive demonstrations that occur about every half hour that vary between "built it" classes to hands on demonstrations how the intestines make poo. The volunteers genuinely love their work and make science real and fun.
Fantastic that all the demo stations are well maintained and work all the time (I've been elsewhere and seen science demos with 90% broken sets - I'm looking at you Valencia city of science and arts) which gives it a really top of the class professional feel.
My 4 year old loved it so it isn't just for older kids.

Don't be fooled by the size. We went and were there for a few hours reading and trying to make different things and we all came out with DNA bracelets that we made. We made lots of spinners that floated up to ceiling ad was fun. Was also relaxed. Would defiantly return and combine with other things to do in Cambridge.

Small but excellent place with lot's of activities for children. Kids can be entertained from about 3 until 14 or older ( depending on interest). Cheap entry fee which is valid for the whole day, you can come and go as you feel.

Small little place packed full of interactive things for the children. We spent about 90 minutes here. We watched a fantastic presentation about recycling. Reasonable price too.

We had a great time at Cambridge Science Today. It was all about Dinosaurs and fossils. My five year old son enjoyed making fossils and talking to the friendly staff.

A number of interactive stations each explain a scientific topic that helps understanding our world. Ideas are presented clearly, and activities are very cleverly designed. Good for kids and accompanying adults alike.

Interesting place to bring kids, (say from 4 years upwards) good range of hands on activities. Minimal parking; 10 to 15 minute walk from Cambridge station. Has snack and coffee machines.
