Definitely one of the best breakfasts I've ever had!! Thank you very much for such an excellent breakfast! Everything prepared to perfection! Thank you very much to all the staff who welcomed me during my stay, for their professionalism and friendliness, they are a very professional team where the customer is the most important thing here, incredible! excellent, beautiful hotel, friendly staff. Nice design in the rooms, furniture, clean snow-white bed and fluffy towels. Special thanks to the staff who clean the rooms, they clean things all day long, it’s so nice to come back to a clean, fresh-smelling room, very friendly and always if you have any requests react quickly. Thank you for the comfort, we will definitely come back and recommend to our friends and family!!!

This is a wonderful hotel. I stayed for a few nights and I cant explain enough how comfortable the beds were. Honestly, one of the best hotel experiences I had. The room was spotless when I first arrived and that quality of cleanliness had been maintained throughout my stay. The cleaner Karolina had done an amazing job and if she sees this, Thank you.

Amazing experience. Me and my partner stayed in the Cambridge Clayton Hotel and had a wonderful time. The double delux bedroom was very relaxing and the bed was huge! Only bad thing we found was 3 long hairs on the bed. Apart from that, the rest was flawless. The Wowcher deal included a 1 night stay with 2 course evening meal and breakfast included. Plus came with a bottle of fizz! Approx. £200. Well worth it! Highly recommend.

I had a memorable stay at the Clayton. The best part was my surprise upgrade. The room was very modern with lovely views over Cambridge. The breakfast was really lovely and I had the best sleep in ages. Less than 5 mins from the station and lots of restaurants nearby. Will be going back.

Booked the suite which was lovely.
However room was hot and aircon didn't make much difference. Reception did provide a fan.

Valaria in bookings was superbly helpful in discussions prior to booking. An absolute credit to Clayton.

Nothing was too much trouble for them when I asked. Very pleasent experience.

Celebrating our anniversary we throughly enjoyed staying at the Clayton Hotel Cambridge. We were given a lovely message as it was our anniversary when we got to our room. Great buffet help yourself breakfast with the staff being incredibly helpful and very polite. In particular we had (sorry didn’t catch his name) serve us at the bar on Friday 1st March just after 8.30 who couldn’t have been more helpful, definitely an asset to the hotel. Thank you to the team for making our anniversary that little bit more special. Will definitely be back!

This hotel was absolutely sublime! From the decor when you walk in, to everything in between. Check in was easy and reception staff extremely polite. Locating the room was easy and the room itself was stunning. My partner and I were really impressed. The touches with the room details and extras, extremely comfy bed, really nice modern styling. On the front door to the station but we parked in the station car park a short 2 min walk and felt safe to leave car there. Only a 20 minute walk into the city centre and a super quick cheap taxi back. Overall we absolutely loved our stay at The Clayton and will definitely be returning (whilst checking out the other locations too).

Lovely afternoon tea experience. Delicious food with an excellent variety of sandwiches and cakes. Really atmospheric room where it was served (we were sat upstairs in the library type room). Excellent service from Sarah. Very pleasant afternoon.

Very cosy hotel. It seems as it was renovated recently. Everything is sparkling clean and new. Room is big. Bad is soft. Plenty of pillows. One strange thing was that there was no hot water at evening. It reappears around midnight and all is fine in the morning. My colleague lived on the another floor and has not had this problem. Breakfast is delicious with fresh fruit salads, yogurts, scrambled eggs, beans, bacon, pastries, OJ, etc
Staff is very helpful and friendly. Highly recommended.

We stayed at the Clayton for a weekend to get away from London and discover Cambridge. The room was spacious and well furnished with some cool features such as anti steam mirrors in the bathroom and plush leather seats.
Bed was king size and extremely comfortable.
The staff be it at reception and in the restaurant and housekeeping were very nice and professional.
We received warm welcomes all around and helpful recommendations.
The hotel is ideally located next to the train station , which made it easy to travel back to London after enjoying Cambridge up to the last minute and bringing back lots of shopping bags.
Breakfast is a buffet served at the hotel’s restaurant. Nice coffee machine and broad choice of sweet and savoury dishes. Few vegan options and no gluten free ones though (outside of eggs and fruits or soy yoghurt).
The decor is really nice, leather bound old books and chesterfield sofas in a quiet atmosphere.
I recommend staying there, good value for money.

They always say "you get what you pay for" and it certainly applies to Clayton Hotel Cambridge.
If you want a little luxury without a huge price tag, then the Clayton delivers.
Ideally placed within 1 minute walk from the rail station and just 10 minutes walk to the historic centre / colleges.
No Car parking, however the station car park is conveniently located just around the corner with plenty of spaces.

Lovely hotel, very comfortable room and reception staff were brilliant. Sadly the breakfast area was a let down, tables not cleared and cooked food area was not maintained and appeared unclean. My wife is Gluten intolerant and was only offered bread! I would definitely stay here again but book breakfast elsewhere.

Hotel was very nice , clean and attentive staff. Restaurant beginning to look a bit dated and the NCP car park the hotel advised us to use was closed meaning it cost me 22GBP to park my car for the one night stay.

We hosted my best friends bridal afternoon tea gathering at Clayton hotel known as former Tamburlaine hotel. Located near the stunning botanic gardens in the heart of Cambridge. It was a beautiful day ‘ and no better way spending it at a 4 star hotel! Afternoon Tea is served daily between 2pm-5pm and currently costs £9.50 for a cream tea and from £29.50 per person for afternoon tea. The lovely-attentive waiter came with brass cake stands and placed them on the table and explained how many people can share one. We had beautiful pastries to tasteful sandwiches and of course a selection of teas; herbal and English to acquaint the delicious spread. My favourite were the freshly baked scones with jam and cream. The finger sandwiches were beautifully cut and parallel filled with salmon, egg, humous and salad. The top tier had the most gorgeous pastries - the only downside is there was no description on what they were. However, they tasted rich, smooth, sweet and light. Would certainly go again. Had a very expensive ambience , and calming touch to the hotel. We loved where we was seated , and overall was left with full satisfaction.

Location is great if you are traveling by train. The hotel is beautiful and the staff is very friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was delicious with a lot of options and the bedrooms are lovely and big.
It was my first time visiting Cambridge and I want to thank Fernando for all his recommendations about the city and restaurants around.
Thank you very much to Valeria also for her big huge smile and assistance during check-in. Our room wasn't ready when we arrived early in the morning but she let us kept our luggage with her while we wondered around.
