CB1 Student Accommodation

I've been living in CB1 since 1 year now and my personal experience has been wonderful throughout. With amazing facilities, beautiful environment, peace and hostile workers ready to help 24*7. I would suggest everyone looking for an accommodation that feels like home should give these apartments a try.

I currently work here as a Fire Marshall and can say that the accommodation comes with everything a student would need, there is also a rather spacious common room with Wi-Fi, 50" TV screen, pool table, toilet, furniture and tasteful decor.

I lived here for a year and the office staff were amazing and the firemarshels were kind and the maintance team were relieble.

I’ve enjoyed my stay at CB1, with the lovely and helpful staff, and well management. I feel safe even during the Covid-19 period. I’m also grateful to all the staff’s hard-work helping students to distribute the mails and parcels during lockdown. Thank you.

Lived here for all 3 years of my degree and absolutely loved it! Amazing flats, rooms a great size (I even fit more clothes storage in my room) and lovely kitchen spaces. Staff are so friendly and will do anything to help students out, they’re there if you just want someone to talk to too. Whenever I reported maintenance problems, they were sorted within 48 hours. Would definitely recommend.

staff have been nothing but lovely and extremely helpful and kind over my 2 years staying here. I have had minimal issues with anything that does arise being promptly fixed by the handy maintenance team. looking forward to my third year at this accommodation.

Second year living here now and I have rebooked for my third year! Staff are quick to reply to emails, helpful and friendly as well as understanding whenever there are issues. There's also overnight security who have been helpful to me on multiple occasions for loud flatmates at 3am. Overall a lovely accomodation to stay in :))

I lived here and the experience was amazing! The rooms are well presented and a good size and very affordable. The staff are lovely, Kelly, Jules and Wendy are so helpful and kind. I always felt safe. I really enjoyed my time in CB1 and was so sad to be going, it felt like home! Would highly recommend for any student studying locally.

Lived here in 2019-2020 for first year and was a great accommodation hence why I came back for my fourth year 2022/2023. I can highly recommend, the staff are so lovely and the en suite rooms are the perfect size and space to get university work done. I’m super glad I managed to get a room here twice !

Lovely place to live, I've had an amazing experience so far. Staff are always helpful and friendly. Student warden, Vansh, has been really helpful and has always gone out of his way to help me through tough situations.

I have lived at CB1 for 2 years and have had a great experience. The rooms are spacious and the kitchen is equipped with the essentials you need. The staff are helpful in ensuring your experience with CB1 is enjoyable. The accommodation is not far from the train station and only a 15 minute walk from ARU as well as a 20 minute walk from the city centre. Would highly recommend

I have lived here for 2 going on 3 years throughout my uni experience, the reception staff are amazing. Jules and Wendy are so supportive and friendly and have been overall amazing.

Currently living in CB1 for my first year at university, all honesty exceeded all my expectations with amazing stuff who are quick to reply and maintenance team who keep everything in order. As well as great social spaces such as the common room where I can meet up with friends play pool and social study. However go back to my room when I need a quite place to study. Very adaptable accommodation, Definitely would recommend keep up the good work!

Great Student Accomodation!
Good train and bus access, and an easy 10/15min walk to Uni, via Mill Road entrance.
I spent all 3 uni years in the en-suite rooms with pleanty of space in the rooms for all my books/ paints/ canvas' ect. (did Fine Art)! Beds are good, with storage space under the matress'. Kitchens also had a good amount of cupboard space for 8 people (cluster flat) to comfortably share. Really great area for being social, with 3 main accom buildings in a large area, and a nice park space inbetween. Co-op shop in the square - nice and easy!

Outside of the accomodation, the Leisure Park is also just 10min walk away - for a Tesco express, sainsbrys, Cinema, bowling, alot of good food places! Multi-story car park there was often where my parents would park to visit.
There is also a self-store there, which helped me alot when I was storing my items over summer, in-between years.

The staff as well, really made it! Friendly and aproachable, any questions / issues, they were always so helpful. One of my friends was having some financial issues, and they were very accomodating to help with a payment plan/ options to go through the uni for more help! We were always welcomed by Jules, Wendy and Dean. They even offered us a cuppa tea when we had some tough uni days, and felt like we could talk it out! And even on good days, was always lovely to have a chat!
I always felt safe as the office always had someone in, day and night. And even the security team would help out where they could.

All in all, such a great place and I am glad I chose this over other accomodations!

Great accommodation in an ideal location. You always feel safe in the accommodation and the staff are so wonderful and lovely, they really make your experience at CB1 fab! I've stayed here this past year and have loved it so much I am staying again this year. I couldn't recommend it more highly!

My experience here in CB1 Student Accomodation was wonderful during my first year at University. They helped me a lot during my stay and they have a lovely reception that will help you with everything you need.

Great accommodation, helpful staff. Good location in terms of the station, small shops, 25 minute walk to bigger shops and a 15 minute walk to ARU. En-Suite cluster rooms have a slightly smaller than double bed (double bedding works) good desk space and under bed storage (lift up the mattress). Bedroom has no bin but kitchen does.

Have only recently left after staying with Host for 3 years. Was a great student accommadation in a prime area of town right next to the station! Reception staff were so friendly and helpful and maintance people were also very attentive if there was any issues! Wouldnt have stayed 3 years if it wasnt for all the amazing factors that this student accommadation brings! Would recommend to anyone coming to Uni!

CB1 has been a brilliant first year accommodation. The reception staff are extremely helpful and the maintenance have on most occasions sorted any issues same day. Nothing to complain about!

This is my 6th year at CB1 Student Accommodation. It is one of the best accommodation in Cambridge and I highly recommend it.

The accommodation fees is an absolute value for money and it located at a at prime location. It is 1 min walk away from the train station, the bus stop and the electric scooter stop. Various essential and recreational amenities such as Pure Gym, Nando's, Cinema, Arcade, Supermarkets (Co-op, Sainsbury and Tesco) are also at 2 mins walking distance. Anglia Ruskin University is merely 10-15 mins walk away.

The accommodation has a good variety of rooms which give the students get plenty of options to pick their rooms. The staff is highly professional and has been really helpful and supportive even during out of office hours. There is at-least one staff member present at all times, 24/7 just incase any student needs some help. They have really helped students during covid times.

The accommodation provides laundry machines in every building and there is also bike storage as well. The common room area is a great place to meet new people, make friends and play pool or watch a movie or have a study time. The accommodation also organises various events such as movie nights, pub crawl, fitness classes throughout the year for students. I highly recommend this accommodation and is very close to my heart.
