This is a truly unique hotel with so many things to look at, it’s quirky and historic. The grounds are pretty, the location makes it easy to get around too.
I can honestly say it was the first place I’ve stayed where a giant wooden wall conceals a magic door to your bathroom!!
We were lucky enough to stay when no event was happening so it was very quiet and fun to have a drink at their little bar.

Just stayed overnight at macdonald Ansty Hall Hotel.
We had a fabulous stay.
We were welcomed by Alan in reception who was brilliant. He was coping with about a million things and the printer had broken. He is a wonderful asset to your hotel.
Room was lovely and clean.
Dinner in the restaurant was superb and plentiful. Staff although coping with a wedding as well were fantastic.
A special mention to the wonderful Debbie at breakfast. A wonderful breakfast waitress who is friendly warm efficient and pre empts your needs. Yet again another asset to your hotel.
This hotel is great value for money.
Have been reading silly reviews that the staff look untidy. Please remember they are juggling loads of thing's. Many are working over 12 hrs a day.

This place is magical. Old and beautiful. I arrived after 10pm but was still greeted by the owner and another staff member, both of whom were very nice. The room was beautiful, with a four poster bed and a giant luxurious bathroom. Breakfast was of good quality. I'm looking for excuses to go back to this place.

An absolutely amazing wedding venue. Quirky, intimate and friendly - it was a real talking point among the guests! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and went above and beyond to make sure we had the perfect day. Gorgeous rooms as well, and plenty of garden for guests to wander around and drink champagne. Very highly recommended!

There are not enough stars to rate this place. I love quirky places. I have stayed here 3 times and am not bored with it. The owner lives on site and he is fun, intelligent and honest. He tells it as it is. The furnishings are astonishing and you can wander around. Would you believe it the have an honesty bar where you serve yourself. I shall be back.

Beautiful building full of character. Perfect place for a wedding. We went to an evening do. I liked all the small rooms. Much nicer than all sitting round in one big room deafened by the disco. We had a delicious hog roast and fireworks. Really enjoyed it. Would recommend Anstey Hall. 😊

Arrived late and was made very welcome. Honesty bar was a nice option. Bedroom done in a Chinese style was very comfortable. Free WiFi. Luke the member of staff who booked us in was very helpful and courteous. Breakfast was excellent, with good selection. My wife and I would 100% recommend this place. This is not a travel lodge nor a premier inn this is a really quirky hotel, and I look forward to staying again when in the area.

Beautiful opulence but informal environment. Every time we stay we feel like we are home and treated like one of the family. After a long drive we are greeted by a roaring crackling fire, grab a drink from a forgotten tradition, the honesty bar and relax. We stayed up in the billiards room with strangers playing cards and became old friends. The rooms are kept very warm, usually the opposite in such an old property. We sat at breakfast amongst the quirky decorations with the owner. If there is anything you prefer for breakfast (dietary requirements) they are only too happy to cater and make delicious poached eggs over the scrambled egg buffet. Check out is 10.30 however they are very understanding for delay. I cant wait to come back!!!!

Fantastic place to stay. I went there for a wedding and everyone enjoyed themselves tremendously. The building is a period hall and has a rustic charm that makes you feel like you have gone back in time. Staff are very friendly and would definitely stay again.

Unusual place. Not what I would call a 5 star hotel. This deserves 5 stars for its uniqueness and interest. The huge manor house is owned by one individual whom greeted us on arrival. Room was an upgrade on arrival and had a wonderful whirlpool bath in it. Property was clean and staff friendly. Honesty bar is well stocked and some wonderful grounds with their own airstream trailer (Croft Manor anyone?). Rooms were uniquely decorated and provide a wonderful wander around. In sum it's a little like a very nice manor house air BnB with the host on site.

Anstey Hall is a beautiful place. I have been twice now. First was a wedding held there and the second was a dinner dance, and every time i have been there i have always enjoyed myself. The place is quite old and is full of character.

A great hotel - eclectic, eccentric, historic, and great fun. The owners are very entertaining and friendly - I would recommend them to anyone. A short walk to the town centre, with good parking and a more than acceptable breakfast. Much better than any chain hotel, this place is superb for anyone tired of the non-personal hotel experience.

It's difficult to write a review for somewhere you love so much! We had our wedding at Anstey on 30 August 2014 and hired the Hall for the weekend so we could throw an Indian party the night before and have a traditional white wedding on the Saturday - the whole weekend exceeded all of our expectations, it really was without doubt, the best time of our lives! Anstey Hall is a fantastic venue because they let you decide what you want to do, so you can put your imagination to work and create the wedding of your dreams. I particularly loved that apart from our wedding breakfast in the marquee (due to the number of guests), everything else was in the Hall, so the whole of the Saturday night we were partying the night away in beautiful, elegant surroundings. All of the staff are fantastic, they work so hard and so everything is seamless, the rooms are great, all comfortable, quirky and interesting, the ones in the Hall itself are my favourites - rooms 1 - 5 are beautiful! There is a really good selection for breakfast with something for everyone. The Ballroom and Library are beautiful and I love the bar! I have to make a special mention of someone who has been a true joy to work with and that is Tracey who is the Events Organiser. Tracey has such a wonderful way with people, she is so warm, hilarious and exciting! Every meeting we had with Tracey turned out to be such fun and we came out with huge smiles and feeling super excited for our wedding. Tracey is a gorgeous breath of fresh air in what can be a restrictive world of wedding organising, she is simply brilliant and excellent at her job (her sister Sarah is also v fabulous). My husband and I are in love with Anstey Hall and cannot recommend it highly enough - don't book Anstey if you want a venue that's red-roped, stuffy and dull - come here if you want to create something magical and have the most exquisite, fun journey along the way!

Our dream wedding! We couldn't have hoped for a better venue for our big day. Tracey, Nikki and the team were so helpful throughout our planning process, making us feel so special and that nothing was too much trouble, despite the many many questions and queries we sent their way. On the day itself, the team were so friendly in assisting our guests and being total professionals, that ensured everything went perfectly smoothly. So many of our friends and family have said that they thought Anstey Hall is a wonderful venue. A stunning manor home with great spaces both inside and out, but the quirky decor really gives it the character which we loved. We are beyond thrilled with the wonderful day we had and are so grateful to Anstey Hall for everything they did to make it happen.

A superb mansion which does B&B only. Beautiful decor and very classy in style. Our twin bedroom in the mansion was huge.
Very good breakfast.

We came looking for an old English experience and hit the jackpot. This country house was an adventure by itself (like a mini-museum). Friendly staff, breakfast was a feast, in-room Nespresso was icing on the cake.
