Midsummer Common

I just relocated to Cambridge recently, and have found that it’s really a lovely and chill place to live. I hope there’re more surprises waiting for me to explore.

A lovely place for a walk along the river with swans and ducks a plenty.
Beautiful and peaceful location to relax and collect one's thoughts.
Take some swan and duck food to say a proper hello to the locals.

The walk or cycling along the river is one of the most relaxing and stress relief activities. The boat houses moored give an extra edge.

We go through this place when we send off our kids to schools. Sometimes you can come across cows eating grasses, and our kids like to see.

The location for the much loved strawberry fair

Wonderful place to spend the day, have a picnic, do exercise or just enjoy the sun. The river banks offers a nice view to relax with the swans and ducks in all their beauty.

Great day out at Strawberry Fair, perfect weather, good music, fresh street food and handmade clothing stalls all make for a fantastic festival.

Lovely place for a walk. Along the river or through the common. Brilliant for a picnic in a summer.

Large green space to relax with friends and family. Ideal for summer afternoons. Its trees with their wide trunks are a marvel of nature.

This was the finishing point for me on a London to Cambridge bike ride. Seemed like a very tranquil place while I was there, although I only stopped for a bite to eat, a quick drink, and then started on the journey home. I would definitely go here again

Lovely place to walk the dog by the river! Great for Pokemon GO too. Just watch out for the joggers, they don't always look where they're going. I've been run into twice. It was more funny than painful, to be honest.

A lovely place for any evet like the recent fireworks display! In general a really lovely place to be. Close to the river with easy access to pubs, restaurants and both the main town and Grafton centre.

An amazing place to unwind and relax

On key location. Busy with morning traffic, especially for cyclists. Meeting point for dog walkers. Great start of a walk around the river

Beautiful walk through the common. We went there between appointments at Addenbrooke Hospital, only 2 miles away. Lovely to see the cows grazing there.

I love to spend time there. A peaceful place.

It's free land and river Camb runs along it which you can walk alongside all way to city centre(about 10 mins). Plenty of fairs/festivals there thru out the year ,and bonfire night/strawberry fair etc..

Midsummer Common is a beautifully maintained area with lots of space to sit down and relax, or play games.

When I was there last, there were lots of groups of people enjoying themselves - some has even set up a volley ball net!

There is the River running past also, which is nice to walk along.
